With their new line up, Section6 has been busy re-seating themselves at the helm of metal. Currently working on an EP and an upcoming tour featuring new music and a new look to the band, its easy to see that Section6 is determined to go the distance and bring their twisted reality to the masses.

Originally started in early 2011, the band set out to do what they loved in the only way they knew how, with their own twist on metal and their striking appearance, quickly found themselves at the forefront of dark music in the southwest. Starting with the idea to make music they love while providing top quality entertainment as a key value to the band, and people quickly took notice. Debuting with criticism against them, Section6 proved their worth until luck ran on their side. Several national acts (including: Death Angel, Otep, Butcher Babies, Mushroomhead, Overkill, Hemlock and many others) quickly took a notice of the band and took them under their wings giving the band limitless information and invaluable experience taking the band on the road and assisting them in the studio.

Section6 thrives in genre where down-tuned 7 and 8 string guitars, 5 string basses, tribal percussive rhythms, and melodic vocals create the heaviness of the band. To put it simply, they are heavy melodic groove machine the likes of which their home town of El Paso Texas has never seen. Staying away from overly-complex, ultra intricate arrangements and embracing a more familiar simplistic and minimalistic approach, Section6 is easily relate-able and easy to enjoy.

Luck, however has not always been on the side of Section6. In late 2012 the band went into hiatus as several of the band left after numerous personal and creative differences. Down to the only two founding members, drummer Ben Villalobos and guitarist Kevin Armstrong, they decided to take their time and look for the right people who would make Section6 the mainstay that they knew it could be. Difficult as it was, the two found just the people, enter bassist Ray Holgiun and vocalist Benjamin Browning.

Teaming with new life and sounding better than ever, Section6 has found a new conviction and is ready to front the metal community one fan at a time.
