ROGUE STATE are an original four piece rock band playing protest songs with a hard edged retro sound reminiscent of the late eighties and early nineties. With a high-energy rock show, Rogue State are not only visually entertaining, they ROCK - filling dance floors and thrilling audiences with their catchy songs and lyrics.

They are planning to tour the album up and down the East Coast. Academy award nominee, film-maker David Bradbury chose to use Rogue State’s protest song ‘The Whisper’ for the closing minutes of his latest documentary ‘Shoalwater Bay’. ROGUE STATE’s main songwriter and singer is Andy Bambach. He was the main songwriter and front-man in influential Perth band ‘The Miscreants’ and the Melbourne band ‘Love Junkies’, playing hundreds of gigs across the country including music festivals in Kalgoorlie and Bindoon in front of thousands of people and residencies in pubs and nightclubs including ‘The Stoned Crow’, ‘The Red Parrot’, ‘Broadway Hotel’, ‘East Perth Tavern’, ‘Karrinyup Tavern’, ‘Prince of Wales’, ‘East Melbourne Pub’, ‘The Underground’, ‘Backstage Bar’… ‘The Miscreants’ successfully toured the South and North-West of Western Australia for two months on the ‘Tour De Obscure’ and appeared on Perth band compilation video’s including ‘Bindoon Rock’ with ‘September Rain’ and cassettes ‘United Rock’ with ‘Break Up’. ‘The Miscreants’ recorded the vinyl single ‘Fate’ with accompanying gothic film clip and the ‘Love Junkies’ recorded a four-track cassette featuring the haunting ‘Eerie Thing’. Andy has played several songs live on FM radio RTR in Perth. ROGUE STATE play songs about the human condition, the environment and other world issues such as wrongly invading sovereign countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan by Rogue States such as the USA, UK and Australia, against the wishes of the world's people. |
