Hi Fam,
As I post the final newsletter of the year, I can’t believe how fast 2021 has gone and how far we have come from 2020. I have enjoyed your responses, encouragement, and blessings, and hope you will continue to do so in 2022. This year was spent working with other artists, such as Eddie P Rose. I also started doing an acoustic series, which are acoustic performance videos of songs by other artists, such as Pink, and the Eurythmics. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see them, you can find the videos on my YouTube channel, Roger Anthony Whiting, or click on, (or copy and paste this link in your browser), to one of the videos, “Here Comes the Rain Again” (expired link). In November, I took the leap and created a TikTok account, (expired link) There we’re also plenty of live performances, which can be viewed on Instagram, at rogeranthonywhiting.

As we emerge from the trials and tribulations of the past year, I first want to send my thoughts and prayers to those who lost friends and loved ones. I too lost a cousin as a result of Covid-19, and had to deal with the virus myself in late January of 2021. Through God's blessings, I was able to recover without any long term effects. I want to thank you all for your wonderful messages. They have been a force in continuing my passion of creating and sharing music.

About Roger Anthony Whiting
Roger Anthony Whiting is an American artist. This multi instrumentalist, songwriter and producer lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Roger was born in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of eleven, his family relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While growing up in Florida he pursued his love of music. This began with seven years of guitar and bass guitar lessons followed by four years of piano lessons. After graduating high school, Roger began voice training with the renowned Kay Kramer, who has worked with Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots and has trained Matt Kramer, lead singer of Saigon Kick.
He relocated to Los Angeles, California in 2000, where his musical ambitions flourished. Roger composed and performed the soundtrack for the Independent film Poet Head, written and directed by Rawle Lewis, best known for his role in Cool Runnings. He performed the guitar parts for the Jeff McMahon film Sleep In Heavenly Peace scored by Dave Holden. He collaborated on mixing a scene for the Independent film God’s Army Two. To further his abilities in producing and engineering, Roger was hired by Studio City Sound, which is owned and operated by two-time Grammy winner Tom Weir. Using his developing abilities, Roger released the independent CD, Somewhere In Pasadena by Cali on ITunes.
This release led to Roger becoming a member of The McGrath Project led by Gary McGrath, former member of Bowling for Soup and Deep Blue Something. The McGrath Project toured Southern California in 2012. In 2013, Roger was featured on the cover of MusiciansFriend in recognition of his talents. Roger Anthony Whiting writes, composes, produces his music, and plays most of the instruments on his releases.
