Just want to give a shout out on things going on. First of all, thanks for your interest in my music! That alone means the world to me! I've been wanting to release some new music but the finances just aren't there right now plus we had a few tornadoes go through this year so that set me back as well. Hopefully by the summer of 2014 I'll be ready to hit the studio again with some great tracks....
My new band 'Night Train' is just about ready for it's public release so that should be a blast! Sounds like we should be opening for the Hodag Festival in Rhinelander, Wisconsin in 2014.

I want to start by thanking all of you for joining my mailing list! I feel very blessed to have so many interested in my music! Sorry I don't have more tracks at this point, but we are working on new material as we speak.
I love to tell stories when it comes to writing music. I hope you continue to send me emails on your thoughts & maybe your ideas of things to write about.
In closing, I'd like to say that I'm just a normal guy with a dream & a gift to touch the hearts of so many. The thing I want to do with this is gain the opportunity to give back. Of course I want to sell my music & make a profit, but being able to use that to help kids & the unfortunate & just make a difference wherever I can is the ultimate goal & my passion.

Ricky Dean is not one sided, he knows how to create songs that both entertain the heart and the dance floor. It tells the tale of a man and his child, the child ultimately growing up and the feelings the father now and will always have. It touches the heart of anyone who has ever been a parent and those who will one day be. Two Steps On The Bar is on the other side of the spectrum. It is a faster song that is for the bar, which is obvious from the title. This is the one you spend a quarter on in the jukebox to take a dull evening to a new level of fun.
