Wow. I'm blown away by your responses to my music guys! Thank you so much for your kind reassuring words; and your vote of confidence. RB Confessional: Here we go ☺ . . . . . All ego aside, I have become somewhat of a socio-musical recluse {a self inflicted condition of course}. I love my music; and I enjoy the art of creative song-writing, plus arranging, singing and recording them, but I can't stand the fakes, the sharks, the barracuda's and the low life "Song Thief" desperado's that come as par for the course in the music industry. These “Song Thieves” in particular astound me! Seriously, by comparison, if you had a painting by a famous painter such as Renoir, Picasso or Van Gogh etc., would you stoop so low as to claim that you painted it yourself? Would you even have the hide to do that? Well, songs are no different! The song remains the property of the Song-Writer who created it, unless he or she decides to sell it. . . . end of story, there is no argument here! You know, if I may say so myself, for some time now, I’ve flown high above all of the show biz BS. Soaring up above it all; and many times on lonesome wings. Yes I have feeling; deep feelings; and it lifts me up to a higher plane where silence, calm and observation reign. . . . Don’t get me wrong, I get those “soaking wet” weighted down, “wet-wings” days too, where all I want to do is hang around feeling sorry for myself and mope. Don’t we all have those days? These “wet-wings” days don’t last very long though before I’m up and flying above the crowds ‘n’ clouds again! When I’m up, flying high enough to be looking down at the chaos below, I see a society of fools squabbling over money and supremacy. It’s called greed; and there’s lots of it to see down there! I liken their squabbling behaviour to a flock of seagulls fighting each other over a few lousy chips on the boardwalk down by your local beach. You see, I'm over all of the show biz fakery in it’s many dark characters and disguises; and I really don't want to gamble on long-time/term touring anymore, unless of course the tour was with straight shooting honest players {are there any left? Were there ever any . . . lol ☺} with some decency; and a whole lot of heart ‘n’ soul ‘n’ talent. In other words, I probably “would” consider touring again with all the "right" people, under all the right circumstances; and at all of the right venues with one helluva hot band. Ha Ha, I don’t want much do I? lol ☺ I simply don’t want to do “the hard yards” anymore, I’m too old for that now; and I’ve done enough “Hard Yards” to circumnavigate this planet several times over . . . ha ha lol . . . . . . These days, I just want to have fun playing music with great friends and other creative writers. What’s life all about anyway? Oh, before I go, I still have one more verbal parting shot left in this word loaded-shotgun of mine. . . . . . BOOM! I’m an Australian original; and I dislike tribute shows.
