| Bio of the Artist |
Full name Rahim I. Blocker, born and raised in Harlem. I love to make music. It's a passion that I've been pursuing for a long time. My work finally got me noticed after I pushed "Harlem Stretch." Things looked up when I decided to shoot my own video for it and manage to attract one of Harlem's best dancers, Mr. Utube aka Swiss. After a few thousand views, I was then noticed by a well known manager and founder of the "Go Home" series, Dcole. He saw potential in me and gave me a shot. The first track I produced for him with the help of a sample he gave me was the current hit, "Silly Wit Ma 9" feat Chry Baby. After that, we followed up with "Like Whoa" which featured a signed artist from Srilla Hill called Ash Money and an up coming female artist named Emma frost. The ball was rolling and I went on and continued my work with Cole and produced other hits such as "Bad One" Feat. young Deon and Emma Frost, and hype beats such as "So F***in Ridiculous," "Roof on Fire," "Nazty," ect. I proceeded to continue and make songs on my own such as "Window Ceil" feat. Luvly Brown and "Work It" Feat Emma Frost. Soon, Cole decided to shoot an official music video to the "Harlem Stretch." The video was a SUCCESS earning 5 Honors the first day and being voted 42nd most viewed video on youtube that day. The numbers are still growing as the days go by. I've had the honor to meet people such as DJ Webstar, M5, and Ron Brows. My work with Cole gave me a better perspective of the industry, so now I'm using what I learned to progress with my career. I'm now a well known producer and artist in Harlem and I plan on getting better everyday. Im currently an independent label and waiting for the right people to find me. Until then I will keep doing what I love. MAKING HITS
The people who have help me benefit most in my music career were Dcole, Chry Baby, and Swiss. They were the first people who actually looked at me, so big shouts to them. I have first GOD to thank for where I am and where I am destined to go if it is his will. I then thank Cole for really seeing me for who I was and working with me. He has taught me virtually everything I know about navigating this industry.
As I said, I plan on getting better and better. The road definitly does not end here for me.
