hello from rada

I spent 7 wonderful years in a small town in Colorado. The natural beauty of the surrounding area was a daily inspiration to me. My studio over-looked the San Juan mountains and the Continental Divide. I practiced and wrote daily. Beethoven like to take walks out into nature and he was inspired to compose in these moments. We met many special people in that small town and one of them wrote a poem called ' Farewell' when she heard we were leaving. The poem was the inspiration for this song of the same name. Poetry has a way of morphing into music for me. I hope you like it. Here is the poem: the song is attached. FAREWELL by Carol Ellis 9 she had never written a poem before this] Where does the music come from? The heart, the mind, the soul...all three I think yet more....a stirring, a force. A house sits amid majestic mountains. Music echoes through the rooms reaching to the heights of stone beyond. Scenes cocooning on a winter day bright on a summer morn are an inspiration to write, create and give. Beauty's born. Now the music stills. No echo, no sound. A house alone crying in the rain, memory embedded in its walls of the splendid sounds within. The silence saddens us all. all the best, rada
