We are a group of like minded christians who get together to write and record music in a studio project for the purpose of using the internet as a ministry tool to bring the saving gospel of JESUS CHRIST to all who will listen.JESUS is the one who gives HOPE to the hopeless,FOOD to the hungry,SIGHT to the blind heart, and SALVATION to the lost and lonely soul. JESUS is " the WAY,the TRUTH, and the LIFE" and holds the ONLY set of keys to HEAVEN!!! Every thing in life is a choice and we pray the music will in some way point people to the TRUTH. WOW!!!!!!!!. We never dreamed our music would be so well received. I am thankful and greatful to you guys for helping us get noticed. Keep clicking play and VOTE. If you believe in our message and our format, would you spread the word to all your contacts? Salvation is FREE, and so is our Music. Please download it and give it to anyone you meet who needs JESUS , or just needs a bit of encouragement, or just likes to rock for Jesus!!! This project is ALL ministry and nothing else. NOT for fame or money, but for HIS GLORY. This music ministry has a history dating to the spring of 1998 and a chance meeting ( God ordained ) between myself and Jeff Walker (the most humble guitar master I have ever met). We range in age from late thirty's to early fifty's . I'm the Old Man of the crew so no photo’s posted, because the " cool factor" left the room long ago!! , but I still like to rock.
We encourage you to e mail us with comments, questions , and prayer requests. We will answer all e mails on average 1-3 days, because we believe in personal ministry. A bunch more songs will come out of the studio sessions planed for the first of the year. We have tons of unrecorded songs in the same format as the ones posted so keep in touch about the release date for" Smokehouse Sessions 3" project. PS I'm gonna digitally remix some of our older tunes I posted that were recorded on analog and re- release early 2010. Look out for date!!!
Also in the works for 2010 is The Psalm 100 Project, a George Wilt solo studio project with a list of guest players . I will be producing, doing most all guitars, all bass and some vocals. It will be HARDER ROCK than P7DS. That is where my guitar playing always goes when left unchecked. It will be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
News Update 1/3/2010
Here we are in 2010. We want to thank all of you for your support in making our debut internet release a great success. We need to hear feedback from more of you !! Don't hesitate to drop a comment our way. The first half of 2010 will be busy around The Smokehouse Studio, With two tunes 75% finished and ready for release ,and four tunes already finished and ready to upload to #1 Music and myspace. Please pray For the release of SWEET HOME IN HEAVEN. This song is a remake of Sweet Home Alabama, rewritten with christian lyrics by Debra Joe White, an original member of Lynard Skynard's Honketts, the female backup singers. She preformed under the stage name Jo Jo Billingsly. We recorded this track in 2006 and it has sat on the hard disk in the recorder all this time due to the copyright issues involved. With our descision to release our tunes to the internet , we feel now is the right time to approach Lynard Skynards Management, hopefully with Debra,s help and secure the release rights. The quality of the production of this track is top notch and we belieave it will spark a fire storm if released. It used to BRING DOWN THE HOUSE when we closed our live shows with it. We stopped doing any live shows in 2006 after I got bad nerve damage to my right arm and it took over two years to heal. All the tunes so far have been the legecy tunes from the first 6 year ministry run. 2010 finds me healed and ready to encourage the guys to crank up the studio ministry sessions and bring on the tunes. We have a HUGE backlog of unrecorded tunes. Phase two of P7DS ministry will be much different , a total studio to internet format, No more live gig's. PRAY-PRAY-PRAY that the time constraints on all of us will work out for some productive sessions, God still has a lot to say thru Project7DaySoldier.
