Prime Legend was born in Brooklyn, NY to haitian parents and the 3rd amongst four siblings. Looking for better opportunities his parents moved him and his brothers and sister to sunny South Florida to a city called Miramar. It was here Prime realized his love for music. Prime began rapping, writing, and producing his own music in the 10th grade alongside his neighborhood friends. After high school and entering the "real world" Prime began dabbling in the streets and began hustling. After a few mishaps and a brief stint to the county jail Prime decided it was time to take his music career more seriously. At this time Prime and a longtime friend began Legendary Music Group Inc. and were determined to bring his talents to the forefront of the music industry. Recording vigorously Prime orchestrated his 1st mixtape Southern Xposure showcasing his versatile rhyme skills with crafty metaphors and swag and charisma never seen before from a hefty rap artist since the likes of the late great Notorious (expired link). and Big Pun. After a great overwhelming response from local critics and execs in the hip-hop industry in South Florida many believe Prime had the potential to be amongst the stars but demanded more from the artist. Prime quickly began recording the street album, "Bac On Da Corna". Proven again to be a force to be reckoned with Prime crafted a stellar album with Bac On Da Corna and began taking his music to the stage performing at local events. Trying to extend his fan base Prime took his music to New York, Philly, and Atlanta performing at BB Kings, The Ringside, Visions, etc. Trying consistently to overcome the odds of dead-end meetings with execs across the eastern sea board Prime return to South Florida to once again craft new music to garnish the streets with his lyrical complexity. During his return, Prime put all his efforts to bring together the rap scene in South Florida. And with good efforts Prime's 3rd installment was born, Prime Example. The streets began to talk again and the buzz continued to grow. Prime returned to the stage performing at unsigned independent showcases all over the Fort Lauderdale and Miami music scene. Helping to prove consistency kills Prime again jumped back in the studio and months later released his 4th mixtape The Notorious (expired link). hosted by DJ Fattboi. But remaining one foot in the streets Prime again landed himself in a brief stint at the county jail in Orlando. After his release and birth of his daughter, Prime stepped back from the rap podium to focus on producing and being a father and husband. Unfortunately on Oct. 10th Prime was in a near-fatal car accident with an 18-wheeler semi-truck. Fighting for his life and the strength to walk again Prime fought vigorously for the next 2 1/2 months with doctors and physical therapy after numerous surgeries. Once back home Prime wasted no time to begin to write and produce again to put forth an album declaring his testimony and his faith.
