So sorry for being invisible but I have been preparing files to go out to mastering this week. Unfortunately I don't have any administrative help and it's very hard to be creative and keep up on social media so please forgive me. Your support and sharing of my content has definitely been a motivational force. As an independent artist I don't have much but the one thing I do have is a love for music and the people that support me. So be a little patient with Poppa. I will make it worth your while. The weather is getting hot and that is the perfect time for new music. As soon as the project is returned I will send a message. In the meantime please be safe out there and stay in the light.

Just want to take this moment to thank you all for the support you have given me. As an independent artist you don't realize how much your words and comments mean. This is my first LP ever. It took a minute but I got it done. It's 10 tracks and I'll be sending it out for mastering real soon. I don't have a label or any financial backing I do all of this with legal hard earned money. This is not something that happen over night. I've been in and out of studios over 15 years and music is something that I love. I'm looking forward to uploading a few tracks and don't hesitate to let me know how you feel. I'll see you all soon......Poppa

Let me say THANK YOU to all of you here on this platform. Just the fact that independent artist like myself have these various platforms where their music can be heard is a blessing. When you send a text, a like or subscribe that gives me a little more motivation to keep going. I was expecting to have my LP finished by my dad's B-day, March 21st. He will be 85 (and still driving). As fate would have it I decided to upgrade my OS on my computer and most of my music software was not compatible. It taught me to make sure I read before I change anything. Thank God I had my system backed-up but that was a month delay getting things back in order. I also needed to upgrade my monitors so I have to find a way to get what I need and maintain my bills. The monitors made a big difference in my ability to put out a better product. Even though my project was delayed it was a blessing in disguise. I was even able to add another artist and the tracks are stronger with me spending more time. i am shooting for late Sept or early Oct so stay tuned. I love you all and don't take one moment of your life for granted considering what some are going through. Be safe out there.........Poppa

About Poppastep
Known on Staten Island as Staten Islands link. Legend, Poppastep started as a drummer but gained notoriety as the first Staten Island link. to play the Legendary Harlem World on the main floor. Staten Island was considered the step-child borough during the early Hip Hop era. Known and and respected as link. Hines due to his reputation on the turntables the HipHop heavyweights would come to Staten Island. The only link to grace the stage with Grandmaster Flash at Ritz Roller Rink and set up the system. Again called upon to play and supply sound for the Cold Crush Brothers at St. George Theater. Two unforgettable shows with Funky Four Plus One. While HipHop was still in its infant stage it was never on a College radio station. It was at Seton Hall University link as a member of the Friday Nite Jam that HipHop was introduced to a Jersey audience on the radio. It was there that Poppastep would meet so many legendary producers and start his journey into production. Being invited into the studio and getting a chance to see the process of making a record. Everyday is a learning process and I'm still learning. I'm thankful to everyone that has played a role in helping me make progress. Especially my mother who was a soloist in the choir and taught her son so much. Continue to stay humble and work hard, most important be patient.
