About PoeBoy

PoeBoy was born in Baltimore, MD on June 17th 1981. He moved to North Carolina at the age of seven where he was raised and found a new way to enjoy music. He started out listening to Hip Hop at an early age as most. He then decided that he would become a rapper and make it big. As growning up as his mothers only child, he leaned towards his Uncle’s and bigger cousins who allowed him to listen. After a few short years he developed his own style which his family loved. He called it the best of both worlds, and to him it was. With a Northern swag and a down South flow it is the best of both worlds.
Inspired by artist such as Nas,GangStar,EPMD, Naughty By Nature, Kool Moe D,Big L, Kool G Rap, and Curtis Blow Poeboy was inspired by the art of Hip Hop which he persued. Pbe PoeBoy got his start with Jscott Beat Squad Nation. They locally performed hits such as “In My Zone”, and “We Made It”.
PoeBoy has also worked with in the studio with artist/beat maker B-Stamp who is curently signed with PBE. Together they made hit tracks “How I Do” and “Swagga Jacka”.
Now as a artist he has close ties with his CEO PBE ParkaBoi. The pair met at a studio and decided to link together. Aside from separate projects the two have made hits such as “Universal Party” and “F**K You”. They are currently hitting studios rapidly which PoeBoy says he makes moves for his best move ever far as his music career. Now getting the exposer he needs to make it in the industry.
Movement has formed an dynamic team of several local artist under the label that’s ringing bells in different states. He feels that they are the next big movement since Wu-Tang Clan, Dungeon Family and Boot Camp Clique. Also having their own rap lingo signature “Yawh Yawh” has seem to be buzzing all over North Carolina and Social Media. PoeBoy will release his album “Soul of a Sinner” in 2015 so get ready for the take over.
