About Paul Plouffe

Paul Plouffe is a master groove musician, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Paul founded and performed with several bands in the early 70's and 80's including jazz-fusion groups Majek and The Paul Edward Lines Band. In 2009, after a brief 27 year hiatus from the local music scene, he re-emerged with a new repertoire of blues, funk, soul and R&B originals that successfully re-create the excitement and positive energy of the days when Motown and Philly Soul ruled the airwaves. For the past 3 years he has been wowing local audiences with his unique guitar and piano stylings, highly creative arrangements and high energy performances. Paul's live repertoire incorporates an eclectic mix of originals and re-covered hit songs from early 20th century to present day. His live performances range from solo acoustic/vocal renditions to full-band presentations combining live vocal, guitar and piano with bass, drum and keyboard tracks created and recorded in his studio, then mixed down to his loop pedal.
