N1Music News Letter by PaulgizzMartinez
HEY! Everyone...No new music to add to my already 45 listed, BUT...there is a Video I want to share with you from a friend (Tury Chavez) from California who posted it on YouTube. It's a Low Rider visual to my song "Never Gonna Give You Up" that I recorded in 1969 when I was 17 years old and in the 11th grade. I play the Bass guitar on it. Copy and paste this link if the link does not work, please go to YouTube and check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70PRAZRW23c
and you can also download it from the list, 'Free' for you collection.
I want to welcome ALL the new mailing list members who've joined in the last 2 weeks. You can catch up by reading the last couple of News Letters listed below this one. This September will be the start of my 4th year here at N1Music...you've missed a lot of the fun I've had sending these Letters out to the over 3.2k members that keeps growing and growing, and I 'love' it. I also want to let you know that if you want a copy of 'any' song on the list not available for download...you can reply to 'this' News Letter and simply ask for an mp3 copy of any or all that you want and they're yours just for being on the mailing list. I enjoy reading all the comments with my morning coffee and will send you a shout out back to each and everyone of you.
Hope you've been enjoying the last 6 songs I uploaded for you on the last News Letter. The 5 songs from La Movida are for Streaming 'only' but like I said, if you want a copy of any of them, just let me know. You can hear more of Ricky Smith and La Movida Band on YouTube, by the way. They have over 11 albums for sale also. I toured with them for 2 years when I decided to come back into the ONDA scene back in the mid 80's. I didn't want to join a copy band and play other Bands music when I decided to come back. I wanted to play in a well established band who was different, and boy let me tell you...'this' Band 'was' different. We were the Bad Boys of the ONDA Chicana/Tejano scene as the 'only' Biker group who'd ride into the arena on Harley's. I met Ricky Smith at a Recording studio by chance one day and he offered me the Bass guitar job and to tour with him and I jumped on it, quick. That's how I came back after being in the Rock scene over 10 years at that point. I had quit for 2 years in between (big mistake) to get married and found out it wasn't for me to be away from music. Long Story for another time.
Where was I?...
Oh yeah, ~ as I was saying....'WELCOME' to the mailing list to ALL of you from ALL around the World and here in States, from Coast to Coast and every corner of every little boonie town off the grid in the middle of no where.
Tell your friends on FBk and Twitter about it, too.
THANK YOU, again for the big counter numbers on the site...WOW! 2.6M FBk 'Likes', 1.7M 'Plays', 1.6M 'Profile Views' ~ what can I say?! I LOVE it, and Thank You for making it happen.
The Movida songs will be available for 2 more weeks 'only' for Streaming, so get your copy before I have to take them down cause I only have a limited time or permission to have them on there. All the other songs will stay and I will be adding more to the list as time goes on.
Gotta go for another 2 weeks, and I will see you then.
