"I listed my band on a couple other portals and I have to admit, I'm surprised by the number of plays we've gotten without even asking for a review or someone to listen. On the other sites you have to ask or give a review to get anyone to listen. I am curious though, I don't see a listing of new signees, so how are people finding my groups songs? Also I'd like to mention that you have to upload at least one mp3 file to be approved for promotion within our community.
Our next step will be an e-newsletter submission to our subscribers group of the appropriate genre. Our Hip Hop music fan will never receive an alert to listen to some Rock music. That's why it is called targeted exposure and we have proved it to be the best online marketing technique today. Unfortunately we don't have the staff/resources to do this for you on a very regular basis unless you become a paid subscriber to our services but still we try to encourage you to become a part of our community because together we can keep this community alive.

"We as a band have registered on many sites like this one to gain more international exposure. Sites like these (free or not) are a great way to make yourself known to a larger international crowd. I applaud the creators of numberonemusic for that!
The only thing that strikes me as a bit weird is the following: The number of profile visits and songs listened are amazing for us! This is of course quite a cool thing, but we get so many hits it does not compare to what we've been used to with the other sites that we are registered on. This site is brand new and doesn't have the number of visitors as for example: xxxxxxx.com or other sites that have been out there a bit longer.
My honest question is: Can you back up the number of profile visits or songs listened to?"
