God Rest Ye MerryPowerful bit of buzz driven Christmas here. It could only be better if I was still inclined to partake in those merry chocolate brownies of my Xmas youth. I love how the rhythm sets the edge at the start for the riffs to play around. Kind of sets an 'on the edge of your seat tension' though after 3 mins I realize the tune isn't going to kick the ass of Xmas off the stage...sad face )-: I love the tune, but would love it more to build onto a final 80's heavy metal explosion of Xmas madness. Keep it up boys...you almost have a genre of your own...X-as thrash metal! I'd love to hear that album!!
God Rest Ye Merry GentlemenThis is a tough song to review. There is nothing to say about the writing. The song has stood the test of time. No melodic surprises. No dazzling displays of virtuosity superior to all other rock guitarists. No lyrics or vocals used. What there is, is an attempt to make a familiar thing just interesting enough through an Outfall approach, to make us want to listen. The arrangement itself is not boring and at the right time of the year will have enough appeal to be added to playlists. The production is good overall and if I can't rave about it, it's probably because I've OD'd on traditional Christmas songs. It may be my fault that I didn't want to listen before I heard it. It is to their credit that I feel slightly more positive about it all now. So thumbs up. If we're in the mood for a Christmas song, this is just unique enough to make me want to pick it over an alternative.
God REst Ye...A bit of a Spanish Flamenco tone of persuasion on the percussion throughout. As always these musicians are really inspiring with well executed instrumentals. Guitar riffs lift you up out of your seat! I especially like the percussion which calls to mind an image of a room full of men clapping to the beat and even dancing. May God Give You Rest All Ye Merry Gentle Men of Outfall.
Original take on an iconic carolWell, it is that time of year! Very original adaptation. Christmas music for heavy rock fans, you could run with this an do a whole CD by next Christmas! All instrumentation well done, but as a guitarist I especially enjoyed the lead guitar soloing.
God Rest Ye Merry GentlemanNice attention to notes and classic styling with a nice rock touch... however, have you missed the nature of the song with the kind of all one sound across the board... There is little change in tone or dynamics... It appears all in your face. Try to add some magical touch... start not only small but soft and build it to the end with the exciting guitar licks... So, for me 5 on excellence of playing, but a 3 on producing... with too much of the same old same... Great work.
Love it if you loveListening to a 8th grader rendition of a classic public domain song. Just in time to cash in on the holy days.best I can say is I like the the crunchiness and the very ending of the song oh how glad I was when it finally sputtered to its ungodly demise. It left me feeling like I puked all over my,Christmas tree. Sorry this songo is el stinko.

Different kind of ChristmasHave yourself a different kind of Christmas with Outfall's rendition of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", a rock and roll send up of the classic tune. Outfall has taken a page from Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller. The song is almost all lead guitar, and most of it just playing the melody straight, with attitude, but very clean, while the bass lays down a high-drama, funky beat in the background.

God ReviewHi! It sounds like a hard church music. it is interesting that the guitar is making bad faith a bit but it is made up of funny ideas. I think that it is a better work depending on mix but I felt a bit confused for the performance...good luck
review your musicalmusic sounds fantastic off course this is an instrumental and there is no singing but I love singing in my opinion you should get the singer to sing lyrics with the music but that is just me it sounds fantastic anyway as instrumental alone I think it stands a big chance to reach number 1 I think you should promote this big time anyway well done I thought it was tops so I gave it top rating GOD BE WITH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU your family friends as everyone also.
Best introThe intro part reflects the originality of the music. I loved the best part which is intro part and it's catchy, seems like Irish music to me but that could be my interpretation only, sorry if my interpretation went wrong. Besides I think this is only the demo part. With addition of the instruments and thatmaking the recording much more better with the synchronization of the music instruments, this song can have best future. Cheers!
Cool OutfallExcellent music, I love the sound it seems like a dreamy, then goes wild and comes back to its senses. It is emotionally moving and makes one pay attention. I like it, would love to hear more!
yesGod Rest Ye Merry Gentleman (outfall) Instrumental reminded me of sergio leone's western movies and the famous spaghetti westerns. you have a very particular style you can blend a very western genre with a rock blues piece that has some hard rock notes. I love the pioneers, I love the people who experiment and then I give you my best compliments for your creation and for all that you can do. never give up and good luck
Christmas Rock!!!!Very cool rock version of a classic Christmas song!! Love the crunchy guitar rhythms going on while the drums kept the beat heavy and strong. I was quite pleased to also hear a guitar harmony as well in this piece. I was surprised to hear a guitar solo in this but it worked and sounded great!! I’m sure at Christmas time you guys play this in your set to give your fans some spirit at that time of the year. Keep up the good work guys!! Rock on!
