Song Reviews

Rocked not rolled.

Got to check out these guys O-NYX because they rock out like it's supposed to be done. Working together as a team onstage and off has paid off big time. I rate them at 4 stars for over all quality as well as creativity. Believe me when I say that these guys set themselves apart unlike a lot of bands in my area, they have a unique abstract feel when I listen. Also being from a foreign nation myself, these imports got it made with the sound they got. Have a blast and turn it all the way up for these guys. Where only rock/classic rock can be defined, O-NYX has a soulful spirited sound you don't get by just picking up an instrument and jamming out. They really have captured the old feeling of rock with creativity that is much needed in within the music industry now a days. So if you ask me, I recommend this band for those who can really dig the rock/classic rock scene. Thank you all for reading and I hope that you can also enjoy O-NYX like I have. O-NYX, You rock!!!!

Bop review

Hey gang it's time to review another good tune right here so let's begin, nice rock song nice bass and drum tracks give a good pocket for the guitars and keyboards.you can hear a good production and really good mixing obviously pProfessional.this song reminds me of Brian Adams. I think this song would play good on the radio and I would really like passing this tune through my network.

O-NYX. Hysterical. Review

Very solid Rock tune with a good balanced mix. Vocals are excellent great strong voice. Good melody good harmonies rhythm section is tight drums or sound very good ,lead guitar sounds kind of reminds me of Andy Summers from the police over all style wise feels like a 80,s rock song.

Nice!

The music is nice, and I like it. I think it does have that down to earth vibe to it. I like this one a lot, and you're on your way to getting an award somewhere . Keep producing beat work like this I love the lead guitar, and keep your touch on it. This is unique and original. I think this is a hit for sure. Nice one! By the music you can tell that you are passionate about your work as every artist should be. Never give up and dreams and bigger things will follow! Maybe we can collab one day! PEACE!

An Empty Box in Bright Wrapping Paper

This is polished post-grunge rock that shares many qualities with the bland, corporation-backed rock music that dominated the air waves in the 80s. I suppose that many people look back fondly on those years, and this song would help them to relive them. There honestly isn't much of anything that I find exciting, interesting, or clever about this. I am really not trying to be mean, just trying to be as honest as I possibly can with you. My taste in music is so skewed that the fact that I don't like something probably means that most people will!

Wake up America

The track (Hysterical) is brilliantly written, played arranged & mixed. The vocalist channels the passion & conviction that reminds you at times of an early Eddie Vedder, reminiscent of vocals on Pearl Jams "10" The song is arranged and performed with dynamics and hooks that make you continue to hear the song well after you've finished listening. If you've overlookd "O-NYX" thinking good music is written, performed and recorded only in North America you're not giving your music, listening (and O-NYX) the full music experience

Great band

Can't hardly get enough of this sound. it's a great sound. you guys really know how to record. not sure if it's just one guy who plays and sings with drum loops or there is an entire band here. but there is one thing I am sure of and that is someone know how to kill it in the studio. always a pleasure to listen to. I hope you guys do great. Peace Joe Garrison. look me up on here. I have 3 songs. I think I may have something you might enjoy to, but I know my recording is better than most, but I know it's not as good as yours. you guys truly kill it.

yes

Hysterical review. this is a strictly Rock piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Rock style as I said everything recalls the Rock genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Rock piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

Cool tune!!

I can totally hear this on the radio right now!! Love the harmonies and key change the best! The production on this song is spectacular as well. I can relate this song to some of the major hits in the 80’s like the outfield-very cool stuff going on here. The bridge in the middle also captivating. Only problem, I wanted to hear more... the song needed to go on a little longer then it’d be perfect! Overall, great tune, vocals and instrumentation’s were impeccable too! Keep it up guys!!love it!!

Steady as a rock

Some really fine rock music is brought to us from O-NYX. Steady as a rock. Classic hard rock style, leaning more towards the style of the big rock bands of the 90s than those from the 80s. I like what I hear. Its a raw sound with long instrumental parts of the song yet they dont bore me. Suggestive feeling at the end that ends with a nice climax. Well crafted rock from France. I would definitely want to see this band live on a big stage in a summer festival with lots of other people around me, listening and cheering.

A good rock n roll song

A good introduction for this classical type rock song, built then according a conventionnal sheme.. In my opinion, the voice track is a little be "dry", missing an effect (something like reverb maybe), but the tricks of two meletd voices mitigate this feeling. The song is exciting anyway, supported by the efficient rythm guitar, the bass and the drums lines. The guitar solo is also interesting, especially with the tone change in the second part. But the end is too short and brutal to me, I was waiting more: I was taken is the solo flow and everithing tops in 2 seconds, too bad!!! I hope it helps, very good work.

Nice

Nice First of all the beat is hot and the intro is very invitational. The hook is catchy and nice, and the lyrics are pretty good. Overall I see greatness in this song. It has potential to top the charts. Keep it up! First of all the beat is hot and the intro is very invitational. The hook is catchy and nice, and the lyrics are pretty good. Sounds great

Very good in all aspects. Song, playing, production, no weakness. If I was too offer anything, I'd prefer to to hear it break into the full band a bit sooner, but that's just me and many people may not see it as an issue. So very good all around in every way, I'll have to check out your page now and see what else you are doing.

Amateur review

Everything is perfect with the style of the music and song in a different way. The only the thing seems the vox is a bit not synchronized with the music and if both the vox and the music is perfectly recorded, the song would be much more lively and special. Cheers!

Review of hysterical

This singer has a voice on parr with Lou Graham of Foreigner or Denis DeYoung from Styx. He holds the song together and propels the song forward. If the song has a weak spot it would be the intro and the drums which in the beginning are barely a step above click track. This could be the eq settings used or lack of reverb but there is little depth to that opening drumbeat. Once the full kit kicks in the drums do pick up depth. I might switch that part to the rim of the snare to hear the wood of the stick.
