Song Reviews

oh, Very good

I usually write the review while listening the song. I think here there is no need You got me from the start. Every thing in the song is in it's right place. This should be a big hit. But there's my advice, the vocals and all the instruments are great, but I wouldn't call that classic rock. Escape from the 3 doors down and Nicklebeck style and you'll be on top. Otherwise everything is so great. I hear you worked hard on it. I'll give you 5.00 rate, By the way the solo is my favorite part! Keep rockin' and good luck! Cheers, Donnie Donkov Donnie Donkov

ROCK AND ROLL HAS NOT DIED LIKE THE NWA THINKS.

I NOTICED THAT THE R&R HALL OF FAME HAS LOST TOUCH WITH ROCK AND ROLL. THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL. AND WHEN NEGITIVE INFLUANCES THAT THINK WHAT THEY TERM AS MUSIC . BEATS DO NOT MAKE THE SONG IT'S A WHOLE OF THE TOTAL BAND THAT BRINGS IT ALL TOGEATHER. O-NYX HAS THAT GROUP APPROACH. KEEP THE TRUTH IN ROCK AND ROLL AND IT WILL SET YOU FREE. GREAT JOB Y'ALL.

Cream for my ears ...

You made a great song here. Vocals, composition, used instruments, all is top. The only one I think is that the song could need more pressure, the vocals a little bit up. Chorus is excellent too. Guitar solo brillant. Keep up the good work. Like the song very much. It should play in every radio station.

Jam Track

The production is solid with a very good balance of lead instruments and a dynamic peak. The voices are not overwhelmed or stepped on by the instrumentation so that I can hear the lyrics clearly. The recording is long without much transitions or a clear bridge making it feel more like a jam and exploration of the main theme rather. For this long of a song, looking at more of a highlit solo section to break it up. I like the tune and I could put it on re-play simple because it does give a classic rock sound that also be in the background while I’m doing my homework or goofing in the garage.

Whatever you say...I'll listen.

O-NYX Rocks! I only gave this tune four stars because I never hand out five. Excellent vocal harmony, competent execution and production. Really love the mix! If this isn't getting airplay on rock radio, it should. Very professional...Keep up the good work...I look forward to hearing more from this band!

"Whatever You Say" review

Nice enough track. Even if it's not at all the kind of stuff I like, you can easily see that it's well done, it has good taste. Singer is very good, very nice voice, he knows what he's doing. In general the whole band is very good. I could imagine this being played on the radio, MTV, etc and getting them some name. It'd be a good break-out song.

Review of Whatever You Say By O-NYX.

Right from the start I liked this track. It has a progressive pop feel to it. Intricate rhythmic guitar work reminds me of Tears For Fears. Very radio friendly well executed vocals as well. I see a real good future for this band. The track is a tad long but seems to keep ones attention. The mix is also a little dated sounding but again still does not lose ones liking of the track. Well done O-NYX.

Whatever you say

I enjoyed this song very much, it's clear, it´s clean and it´s rock! The sound and arrangements sound original and fresh, I could listen to this song on and on and on. So melodic and mind friendly. It is so untiring that it could benefit from and old fashioned display of solos, like the long playing rock classics, or even as a progressive rock concert.

O-NYX

the beginning was decent but then it just exploded like a firework shooting in all different directions. That made it extremely hard to listen too due to all the pitch shifts and genre hopping. when you get settled into the track, it takes a different direction. The vocal dynamics is like an unpredictable rollercoaster up and down, sharp to flat. i think with some consistency, this would be good

Great song and Players

A nice classic style rock song. Nice intro . Good vocals and great recording . Came across from the start as something good. This song has all the components of a good song. It shows what is lacking in today's world of music. At times it reminded me of some of the best classic rock bands before so that is a compliment. I really liked the mix and the instrumentation. My only negative is the song could have in my opinion modulated the tempo up to really make it smoke towards the end . I really like the guitar solo too.

Whatever is said...

Cool track here by Onyx. Nice contrasting guitars. Good vocal hook in the chorus. I think for what the tune is it could be less than 6:45. Maybe because there's no transitional drum rolls to create a different dynamic. Not sure. I just think it could be condensed. But overall cool track.

Ordinary song.Nice lead guitar.

Nice arpggio guitar. Ordinary chord progression. I liked the vocal tone. Some synths could be helpful. Overall, it sounds quite linear. Nice lead guitar tone, and long solo; i liked it. For me,was the guitar solo that valued this song.

Heavy duty rock!

Solid production standards, good instrumentation. I wish the lead vocal was a little more out front in parts of the verses. Overall, a very good song and recording. Would like to hear more from O-NYX.
