About Olly Sagar
I was born in Islington London, in a galaxy far, far away
My parents, and my Granny in particular, sang a lot
And we played records all the time, or listened to the radio
My dad played trumpet with his friends on piano, bass
I waited until I was ten for my Granny to buy me a guitar
By fifteen I was drumming in a band called the Alcoves
I've just carried on moving in and out of a faulty spot

When I send a message there's always something terrible going on!!
So instead here's some lyrics from a song (this one's on Bandcamp)
If This Sickness
If this sickness is only in the condition
Of inhaling bad, a unnatural air
Then why is it more than cancer that comes
To discourage life, and not leave behind
A real handshake that goes on to the end?
If our hunger never stretches
As pain from our stomach
To the backs of our ears
When will we eat a single thing good
That is colour from one to the other
Or find a sense of support
At turning the corner?
And true rest from the work
That would bring us together
True rest from the work
That would bring us together
When lavishing faith on the nobles of nothing
Chewing their cud and thinking their waste
How do we start, when we sit at high tables
To talk them down, laugh without wine?
Drink to our health, but never ourselves
And
True rest from the work
That would bring us together
True rest from the work
That would bring is together

Hi,
I joined an agency for live gigs as evetything stopped for so long..i was out of the loop and wanted to try new places tp play.
Thing is, in three months they havent got me anything , darn it!
Wonder if you have a venue in your town , you city...that l could get in touch with...like the Cafe Riche in Cairo, Nimo Beach in Aegina, the Free Times Cafe in Toronto, Connolys in Leap, County Cork....you know!!
Well just a thought.
Been recording again at last so will let you know. Hope youre finding great music out there, ive beem listening to Haim, Billie Marten, Ravenettes, and going back to the Byrds, John Coltrane and Dusty Springfield, you can't beat this stuff! Xx
Lets have a great spring time and hope a certain idiot stops his insane war x

This was sent to me by an Auntie when Monday was really gloomy and. I went to get a Covid test, isolating, well you know... As if we are still waiting. In England people can't get fuel, the fools who voted to leave the European Union might even be realising how thus just won't go away (the mess). So stick on some music and let's get back to work.
Anyway, this us just stuff, not poetic or even funny! So apologies, hope everyone has a new tune to sing along to, share and keep smiling whatever poop comes next!

We begin to emerge, with a desire to see everything and everybody
Though here is that feeling that things can never be the same
I ask you if the festival will run
And will we get down to the sea?
Will we filter through a dancing crowd
Or hug people we don't yet know?
Love how nature carries on
Feeding some, destroying others
What is our next journey when the gates and walls fall in?
Down the lane in a cart of flowers
Yeah
I'll come with you in a cart of
Love

Yep I was optimisitic abput 2020, guess lots of us were. Things had been pretty crap already due to bad decisons and divisions, (mainly USA and UK Im thinking of, but there are doubts about so many governments and movements everywhere), causing us no joy, and it can make you feel guilty if you have a house and a few snacks, you know?
I'm not gonna say anything about 2021! Or 2022! But I'll be ready to wave everyone off when they get to the next summer of love in the late 20s.. No, surely a bit sooner! Wow we need to have a groovy time.
i'd like to go of course. The young people, the 14 and 15, 16 year olds, they're stuck indoors here, forgetting what a party and live music are like!
So what a wow it will be if we get some life back, and doing it the right way, all together - living for each other. X Salvavidas!!!

Here's hoping we are going to have good New Year
I'm reluctant to say what a rubbish century it's been so far as there's always the good times, and the fabulous people out there. On the other hand the bigger picture looks pretty grim.
Thinking that art and music are here to save us from the selfism of business and criminality doesn't help much when our brothers and sisters keep supporting exploiters and gamblers!!
I don't get how so many of those who have so little want to prop up the takers?!!
( I look a bit of a twod as I really don't want to get involved in politics - it would send me nuts!)
I hear the sirens outside now, as I'm writing ... well, it's hard to fill up even a 100 words when I'm sure this site is about MUSIC not a bit of ranting in type... so I expect you to be shouting 'Get off!!' 'Stop the talking!' 'Who are you kidding?' etc, etc. Yep, music, get out some Roberta Flack, the Zombies, a bit of Gil Scott Heron, the Velvets, you know - Feel good, celebrate the end of 2019, celebrate the possibility of understanding, the hope for peace, and a little bit of ice cream!!
Give us a bit of 2020 Vision, Baby!

Finding it hard... To know what to do next.. I know we should be troubadours in the name of love and freedom, well those that want to be! Ha!! I need a bus with the ticket paid for by a friend, to Las Vegas or Trieste, yes, how about Santiago...? And on the radio I suddenly hear the Absolute Clock.. Laugh and remember that music can not be held by greed.... It is not like your gold or your slavery..

Blossom on the apple and cherry trees
Now nearly gone
War in the Middle East on and on
No change, change, no change, change
But
Maybe in time, we'll get it right
Maybe this time, I'll get to know you
Maybe some time,we can follow
Follow our own dreams, at the same time
