No Souls Lost is a death metal band from Dallas Texas. Formed in Feb. 2006 with a goal of making unapologetic metal, they quickly gained local and national interest after recording the EP-These Dead Years.
Taking a stand on such issues as anti-vivisection and animal cruelty, they lyrically are able to bring more to the table than the typical death metal band. Though this is not an indication of weakness. This band's music has an intensity level matched by only a few.
They just released their first full length album entitled "Eulogy of Genocide" in Nov. 2006.
After months of anticipation, the debut Open Grave Records album "Hostis Humani Generis" by brutal Texas death metallers No Souls Lost has finally been completed. "After lots of personnel changes, lots of struggle, and lots of hard work, we feel this is an album you'll be very happy with," guitarist Jason Jaeckel was quoted as saying. "We also think you'll be impressed with our new member of the band." After a long search, vocalist Andrew E. Vasa joined the lineup shortly before the album was released, and the members seem to hold his talent in high regard. "We had been doing lead vocals for a long time, but I wanted a front person that could interact with the crowd more effectively. It's hard to entertain the crowd when you're busy concentrating on highly technical riffs," Jaeckel said. So get ready for the new improved No Souls Lost, folks, it has finally arrived, and it's going to crush. Fans will be held over with two tracks from the new record available on their myspace site. The album is set to be released in April on Open Grave Records.
Artwork for the album is being done by Mike Hrubovcak of Visual Darkness. He is an incredible artist and has contributed art for bands such as Cattle Decapitation, Mortician, and I.C.E., and we are very excited about the artwork he is doing for us.
