About No Second Thought

Never over think, your first impulse is always the purist. This is the idea behind the progressive-alternative rock/metal trio NO SECOND THOUGHT. Chris Albers (Guitar & Vox) and Jay Paulsen (Bass) formed No Second Thought in Hollywood, CA in 2007. They wrote and recorded their first album “Monster” with their original drummer, Mario Lackner. After its release Mario left the band to pursue a job opportunity in Europe. The next two years was spent looking for a drummer to replace Mario. The band tried out numerous people before receiving an email from Jason Austan (Drummer). Two weeks later he came in knowing the entire album. It sounded as though they had been playing together for years. They began writing new material and playing shows all around Los Angeles. The band talked about writing an aggressive and raw next album. Chris decided to take control of the engineering, mixing, and mastering on this new album. They recorded their first two songs in their tiny studio space in Hollywood, completing “It’s Your Time” and “Start/Stop” in just a few weeks. Six months later, with a lot of patience and perseverance, the band had recorded six new songs. No Second Thought self-produced and self-financed their second 8 song full length album, self-titled: “No Second Thought.”
