My drummer is sending me his recording gear to see if I can get it working ... If I can work on the new album will start almost immediately. If not ...
Latest music ... I am part of the Massive Blind Jam Project on Facebook ... this track will be up on Wednesday evening but you can see it now ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eASeGPFcGg ... Hope you like it ...
Musical news ... getting some lost software back on line ... finally got my Addictive Drums 2 and the associated AD Paks back on line and functioning. So now if I wish I can have some great sounding MIDI drums (if I am am not to lazy to program the drums parts). Mike the drummer is working on getting his recording setup working and am hopeful that will happen soon as a drummer of his caliber would be better than anything I could come up with. here is the most recent musical thing I did .... https://www.facebook.com/100014141412772/videos/492110757936967/ I am part of a group that gets a backing track and adds our guitar parts ... we do this once a week. That link will take you to my Facebook page (directly to video) ... hopefully you like it.
Sadly my drummer wasn't able to make it out here and his system isn't working yet. We are attempting to handle this remotely but may have to get me and the gear together in the same room to resolve the issues. In the mean time "Play Licks Now" (a creator of really cool backing tracks) has given me a non-exclusive license to use one of his tracks. I did the lead guitar work and the rest is him. I have titled this collaboration "The Joe-Zen One". Once you give it a listen it may become clear how it got its title. This version is the first attempt and it most likely change as I work with it some more. I hope you like it .... Tom
The track is attached to this message so you won't have to search for it.
My drummer is finally gonna make out to Las Vegas which is where I live. This will let us get his recording system as close as clone to mine as we can make it. That way whatever projects we are working on together will look and act the same in both systems. In the mean time I have been writing and reviewing older material so see what should be redone.
I attached the demo of "Bringing You Down" ... any comments on this song would be welcome.
PS you can hear an alternate version here (slightly different - extra chorus ... different mix on vocals and lead guitar https://soundcloud.com/noneventhorizon/bringing-you-down-slice-n-dice
I gotta question for ya ... Can you give me your take on this demo ... Just finished the rough version (literally). Of course it is gonna need some refining and you input would be helpful. Ever wanted to tell the song writer what they should or shouldn't have done ??? Here is your chance ... I attached the track to this news letter so you don't have to go looking for it.
The guitars amps sounds are done using software ... yes I still played the guitars but I didn't use an amp. I used guitar amp sims to get these sounds ... I love the sound that I am getting here. What say you?
