Greg Kimple: performed with Fantasy in the early 70's & co-wrote top 40 hit record “Stoned Cowboy”

He put together the Year One Band who became the first band ever to perform at the Grand Canyon (1977) & on the roof of the World Trade Center (1978). In 79 Greg produced & wrote songs on the the Year One Album. Great reviews, zero record sales. Throughout the early 80's he performed under the Fantasy name & in '83 retired from the music business. Then in 2007 Kimple put together 20 new songs, recruited some longtime friends/players & Nobody You Know 9 was born.

Greg's hand picked collection of studio musicians assembled to created “9”, 1st CD release. 1st man in was Larry Hirt. Having toured previously with Dion, Larry had become 1 of South Florida's most in demand session drummers, once on board w/ NYK Larry quickly enlisted guitar men Bobby Richardson, Pedro Riera & bass player Arty Cadwell into the fold. Guitar players Steve Thorpe of The Steve Thorpe Blues Orchestra & Jeremy Kennemer both came on to the NYK scene via their friendships with Kimple, as did the Clarke, Parke connection (Keyboard players Kenny Clarke & Steve Parke). Singer/songwriter Greg Kimple, horn player Charlie DeChant of Hall & Oates, John Marcus former bass player for Tim McGraw were all old friends / graduates of the Miami music scene.

Ultimately what brought NYK together were friendships, great songs/stories & the universal language of music.
