NFR an Alternative-Pop-Punk-Revival band originally from MAINE now new to BOSTON!!! This is another story of five boys in the early years of high school one day deciding that they wanted to be rock stars like every other teenage boy ever. Butchering some of their favorite songs of the time and even trying their hand at writing some of their own (which in looking back were really not THAT bad) NFR was somewhat born and rocking the seasonal apartment above Corey’s moms studio.
A year went by playing friends houses and small get-togethers when Corey, Seth, and Dan decided they wanted to get serious about being a band and decided to part with the other members. Some more time went by and by the later part of high school they had begun playing some small shows then moving on to opening for larger touring acts to eventually headlining their own shows throughout their state.
A self-described Alternative-Pop-Punk-Revival band, Nickname For Richard decided it was time to start recording some of their better songs but not knowing what to do with them. Eventually an independent record label out of Connecticut contacted NFR and they came to an agreement that if the band wrote, recorded, and produced the album in the old DIY fashion, SPR would take care of production
