| Review of "Will You Bet" by alexlee | 4.0 | "Will You Bet" by NEXXT It wasn't until I heard NEXXT's "Will You Bet" that I realized how little Russian rock and metal I've heard, and additionally, it wasn't until I heard this song that I realized that they certainly know what they're doing. I immediately liked NEXXT's ability to combine the electronic effects of modern mainstream music with the multivoiced shouting of so many metal bands that I like. As for the singing, you will have no trouble noticing that the band is Russian, but the accents add a little Eastern European flavor to the song, which saves it from falling into any over-generalizations in terms of genre. NEXXT got extensive radio play on their local stations, and we can see why. The combination of nu-metal electronics, heavy-hitting riffage, and a mix of singing and yelling could make this song attractive to hordes of different people. One of my only criticisms is that the drums were a bit too flat; for all the heavy low end you put into the guitar work, the drums were almost buried. Bring those drums out and you have a very high quality song. It's great for now, though!
