MRIZO is a Durban born DJ/Producer/Qualified Audio Engineer (City and guilds international diploma) from Umlazi T/ship.
He started showcasing his talent around in the hood which earned him gigs at prestigious events and clubs around Durban like Eyadini Lounge(Umlazi), Mondise MVG (Durban City) and Vogue Lounge(Umhlanga Rocks) rubbing shoulders with the industry greats until he decided to take a break from live gigs.
He furthered his career by obtaining a 3 year international course in Music Technology and Sound Engineering while still obtaining his online presence on his Facebook Fan Page and online music page on (expired link) producing music. The hit song ‘After the storm’ went no.1 for house genre in South Africa getting more than 4000 plays and 800 likes. It landed him an interview alongside other internationals on ‘Number One Music Producers’ hosted by Superblack Records((expired link).) via Youtube live stream and since then he has become a frequent visitor on their music channel.
His production style involves soulful chords and melodies mixed with african dance floor rhythms. He has been able to secure releases with Nick Nova (California, (expired link).), Ndumiso Ndlovu(Pianist) and Banger distributed by Phat Kat Music on traxsource. He is currently planning some releases with Manqoba Mtungwa, Callyleio, Skillz, Polo and Blackjack.
