Easy like Sunday morning

Morgan Monk's recording of "Glory" is easy like Sunday morning. Her lead vocal is authentic, believable, and unhurried, and I love the picture on the cover! This looks like somebody I would like to get to know, and sounds like a band I want to hear more from. I really feel the glory when the backing vocalists break into 3-part harmony, so I'd like to hear more of that. The drums are steady and appropriate, and the bass player is good, but he is a little too loud in the mix. The weakest part of this track is the intro. I love the way the song starts with strong bass and drums, but the lead instrument is mixed way too thin and quiet. I can't tell if it's a lead guitar or a synth simulating a guitar, but it's too faint. If you're going to make space for an instrument to take a ride, let your lead instrument step up and make a statement! From a songwriting standpoint, the structure of this composition is verse-chorus-verse-chorus, etc., going on for 5 minutes. That works great for Sunday morning worship, but not so well for listeners online. I feel a potential to take this strong, solid, authentic foundation you have built in the first 2 or 3 verses, and then launch us into a higher, more breathtaking view of God's goodness, with a bridge or a key change or a breakdown, or all of the above. In short, I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Beautiful song, Lovely lyrical and vocals are captivativating. Your music is enlightening and quite inspirational and truly soul stirring. I really love the harmony and ad lib blends. You have a nice grasp of your vocal syncopation with your vibrations you gather from the music moving you and I can feel and sense it. You are truly gifted. Many Blessings in your further music endeavors in your work for his purposes. Love & Peace

This is good worship Music . I enjoyed it and you did a awesome job. Keep soaring my sister and keep up the good work. God bless you. Continue to minister to God's people in song as the holy ghost gives you utterance. This is one of those songs where you can meditate and relax and just think on the goodness of Jesus. Glory By Morgan Monk

I think your song is well arranged, well mixed and good background vocal with good effects. In my opinion you followed your heart on this one and let your natural ability flow. Keep up the good work you're glorifying God with your gifts!

Morgan has a beautiful voice, and this song has meaningful, thoughtful, relevant lyrics. My only hesitance from giving this song a five star review is the over use of instrumentation. Some times less is best, and in this case I would have kept the musical aspect simple, perhaps string, percussion, and keyboard alone... allowing Morgan's expressive and emotional singling to sit upon a more subtle, yet solid musical foundation.

Hi Diana. Nice grooving heart-setting intro for the song. There are a few places where you are going a bit sharp throughout the song; it kinda had my head twisting off the side to try and flatten you out to match the music. lol Other than that, great song girl. Keep sing for Jesus, and worshipping His precious name. Blessings, Trev. :)

listening to the Glory

Not sure, about the lead guitar at the beginning of the song, but has there is no middle I felt it could be more subtle and more semi acoustic jazz feel. Your voice is silky The words and the backing coming in are warm and keeping the pace of the song from racing away all well balanced, I like the jazz guitar back in the mix. when I think of glory I think of open heaven and in somewhere we may not be able to stand.

Great Heart!

Great heart behind the voice, you could feel the soulfoulness and the annointing behind the song. Hope it gets across to any person that is needing to hear that message so that they can praise along with you.

Morgan

Great song!

Love this song! Perfect worship feel. If I was recording this I would have set your vocals differently in the mix, and EQ'd them for a more classic feel. However this mix isn't bad at all. Just a matter of taste.

Glory by Morgan Monk

This song is sweet and humbling. The music is smooth (not overpowering, yet still draws you without being commanding) , and the arrangement & flow of the song is just enough to keep your attention. Uh oh. Why did it end like that?

You are very gifted and talented, and I like the fact that you did not choose a track that over-powers your vocals. And your background vocals are on point! I can tell you did them yourself, nothing wrong with that. And I can tell that God has a special calling on your life. I wanted to hear more...kind of shocking how you ended the song...lol! Keep on singing...it's a hard road but very rewarding as the people are blessed! KIT
