Mish Songsmith is a powerful female vocalist and an award winning songwriter. Her unique, soulful, jazz-infused, folky-pop songs burst with inspirational lyrics that express universal life stories and wisdoms. This enchanting, talented, heart-warming songstress draws her own positive conclusions about life, having released her 5th album 'Be Yourself' in May 2018. Almost every inspired thought that Mish has had since the age of 12 has gone into her songs. Mish’s music is soul therapy on a deep, profound level if you let it sink into you. As one listener said… “please keep on singing straight from your heart, cause while you may not even be aware its happening, you are most likely melting down someone's toughest armour or moving their most daunting mountains!” Quotes like these keep Mish promoting the music that seems to flow thru her. Time and time again Mish will find herself at the piano when she’s feeling sad and soon enough she’s back to her bright, shiny, bubbly self….you can call Mish’s music self-help if you like, as although it may not be the music genre that hits the mainstream, if it helps one person shift their mood from negative to positive, then Mish feels like she done what she came here to do this lifetime.

Singer/Songwriter/Musician Mish, has obtained various Songwriting and Performing Awards since graduating with a (expired link). in Contemporary Music Composition at Southern Cross University, Lismore, NSW, Aus in 2006.
Mish studied Jazz and Classical based Music Composition at The Victorian College of The Arts (VCA) in Melbourne, Australia in 2001.

Mish now has her own band and currently plays solo piano/vocal and as a duo ('Mish Songsmith Duo') at events, festivals weddings, restaurants and bars in NSW and Australia.

Finalist in the prestigious catergory ‘Best Female Vocalist’ up with the best in NSW, at the 2019 NCEIA Music Awards.

Mish won an Akademia Award in December 2015 - with her Album "Something Wonderful" won Best Folk EP.
Finalist in the 2015 NCEIA Music Awards in The Protest Song Category with her song "The Coal Seam Gas Mining Blues"
Selected as "Artist of The Week" - ABC Radio North Coast for her CD ‘Pure Piano - Reflection,’ October 2011.
"See We're Living In The Same World" was nominated as one of four finalists in the Acoustic Ballad Category in the 2010 (NCEIA) North Coast Entertainment Industry Awards.
"Coyote Blues" won Best Blues Song at the 2009 (NCEIA) North Coast Entertainment Industry Awards.
“In Love With Love” won Best Adult Contemporary Song at the 2008 NCEIA Awards.
"Something Wonderful" won the ArtsNest Award for the Performing Artist of The Year Category in 2007.
Mish entered the Kites & Bikes Songwriter Competition and got a wild card into the finals and ended up winning the Competition in 2006.
In 2006 Mish Won Best Busker at The Apollo Bay Music Festival when she was travelling Australia, living in her van and earning a living playing gigs and Busking :) those were the days!

She now lives with her true love Rachel and her family on 5 acres in the beautiful rolling green hills between Nimbin and Lismore in NSW, Australia.
