Unique voice (in a good way)

Helpful

Your voice is super fun/interesting to listen to because it sounds so different from a lot of other male voices. Even the way you say words -- like your expression and articulation. -- is different. That is refreshing and makes listening enjoyable. The instrumentation in this song is excellent. The only criticism I can think of to make is that one of the guitars is panned hard to the left at a moderately loud volume, which is a little distracting when it first comes in.

Versatile composition

Helpful

I am always surprised by the versatility of Miguel Guerrero's compositions. He manages to create an impressive sound with a relative sparse instrumentation that reminds me of recordings from the sixties. I like the clear acoustic sound of the guitar in the beginning of the song. Miguel performs with his unique vocal and the intro sounds like a story about the beginning of a nice relationship. The songtext comes from the heart and tells us a very engaging story over a girl´s unclear destination. The wonderful played acoustic guitar carries the recording but the arrangemend is more various. The hamond-sound from the keyboard comes at the right time. Rough distortioned e-guitar accompaning the wohle song incidentally. This is an extra factor what makes the music complete. Miguel playing obviously all instruments in this recording and doing very well. This ballad reminds also on own problems and is not far away from normal radio hits. Overall a perfect composition from a really talented songwriter. I find this song really good and I can see why you're rank #1 on N1M. Love your music ;-)

Great tune!

This song is really good, it reminds me of early 70's David Bowie. I like the arrangements and harmonization and it's cool how the vocals are sometimes almost spoken word like David Byrne from the Talking Heads or Bowie. Anyway, bottom line I'm glad you sent me this song and I hope you do well and accomplish what you want. Good luck- Matt

Awesome New wave rock

This is a great sound Miguel. it reminds me of The Velvet Underground, but with a Talking Heads sort of Vibe. Even a bit of Weezer in there. Great mix man! Keep up the great work. I'd love to see a video clip of this song made, if there isn't one already.

Not bad my friend. Reminiscent of Lou Reed, keep up the great work. It sounds as though you have put a great deal of time and effort into your work. I will listen to more of your songs and thank you.

It's got some Pixies, HighStrung, Bowie, Lou Reed...SO many flavors mixed in that I heard something new and interesting constantly. Great bait n switch intro then into waves of layered texture, which builds nicely. I enjoyed this tune very much and I'm interested in more. :-) I'm also curious about what was used on the lead vocal chain... ?

Hello! Here is a music full of life... it remains very classical in the form. The orchestration is well done, and the sound capture is correct. The singer is in osmosis with his text; It is ok. I would have seen a small instrumental solo in the middle of the composition, to brighten the whole. This remains a pleasant composition to listen to, once or twice... The Finale is original!!! Good music to you.

Lou Reed

Parece una canción de Lou Reed, en todos los sentidos. La forma de cantar, el ambiente, la música.. En general me parece una buena canción, con buena voz, buena instrumentación, sin abusos musicales, buenos arreglos. No está mal. It looks like a Lou Reed song, in every way. The way of singing, the atmosphere, the music ... In general I think it's a good song, with a good voice, good instrumentation, without musical abuse, good arrangements. It's okay.

Refreshing

This music represents a river of fresh water. I've always wanted to see bands like this. Not because I like their music but because I want to shout 'come on keep making music like this' if you know what I mean.

Good idea but needs more power and polish

I will focus more on mixing and mastering because the style itself is not my favourite. Generally the idea and arrangement of the song is correct, but the mix itself could have better spread proportions of the song (volume) requires also work on tracks compression and properly done mastering. It will benefit from clarity and quality. I wish you good luck!

very professional and nice

when I first heard it ,it felt like I am listening to a rock song on the radio . very beautiful voices, very professional. It reminds me of old 90's rock songs . I would expect it to be heard on the radio .very nice. I would only suggest to add some strength to it , to start as you did already but at the end to give stronger sound, more strength and etc since it was a little monotonic. But the overall impression is great! good work! :)

Pretty cool track. Starts with a beautiful snare sounds and some nice timing. I enjoy the vibe in this music. It is well recorded, interesting, and oddly familiar. The orchestration is fun, the approach is fresh, and it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. I appreciate the decent mix, and nice melt of influences. I am trying to place what is familiar about it, but I haven't been able to quite figure it out yet...

Hello from Jerzy

Your song bring back 60's.. really...You must The Beatles..Stones etc...but...the recording is a low quality.. You need to do it in the studio with better musicians....work on arrangement ..I'm sure You are able to do it better.. remember that Radio Stations and Publishers looking for a Radio Ready Quality Songs.. good luck.. Jackie Review

The introduction of the rhythm guitar in the beginning turned me away from the melody of the vocal immediately. It seems to be out of tune. However, when you introduce the distortion guitar, it not only brings the song into focus, it helps the melody sound better. From then on, I like the choice of instrumentation surrounding the vocal. It becomes much more interesting. I would check the guitar that introduces the song to see if its in key and if so, possibly change the arrangement so it is not by itself.

Can you move the Listener?

Helpful

What is it that you hear when you first hear a song? One of the things that I try to answer when I listen to a song is "What is the message that the artist is trying to convey. Is there a story? Is there an event that captures the imagination and the listener can take home with him or her? It is obvious that the centerpiece of your song , Jackie has left an impression upon you and in order for us as listeners to feel your pain, the continuous referral to the heroine of this story is impressed upon us in an interesting style . It actually is effective as far as helping to feel your pain. In view of the type of music that you are writing, I must say that it is effective in your approach. Alternative music is much like abstract art. One must develop a taste for it. Although alternative is not my favorite genre, I feel that your work here is done well in getting the point across and sending your message. Good work.

I really didn't care for the verse's. However i did rather like the chorus. I like a lot of your stuff and as a vocalist and lead man myself I like when people give me constructive criticism so I hope you will appreciate. Thanks and keep on rockin' bro!
