About Miguel Laake

I am an Austin, Tx native who has been playing and recording music for 40 years. I have also lived in Los Angeles and Portland, OR.

I began studying classical guitar as a child, learning compositions by Sor and Carcassi. Soon thereafter my tastes flourished into southern blues (SRV/delta), classic rock (Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin), electronic (Underworld/Depeche Mode) and industrial (Nine Inch Nails). I developed a passion for writing and producing my own music and during my career have been in several bands including Sinister Grin, Set the Controls and Nova Nueva. I have been more recently focusing on my own music and solo career.......
