There Is No One Like Jesus...
Blessings to everyone near & far,
Let me begin by welcoming all the new subscribers who've come on board since my last newsletter went out. I thank God for all of you, and all the listeners who've been with me since I first came here to N1M. The journey has been amazing to say the least. I have to share my first time visiting Number One Music. Somehow they found my music on another site, and asked me would I consider being an artist on N1M? I had never even heard of this site. So I immediately started checking this site out - and was surprised to see so many amazing artists/bands here - it was like being invited to a big party that you had no idea was even going on!
I first thought, hmm - it would be nice to get 20,000 people to hear my songs - that was a lofty goal for me at the time. Little did I know that within the short period of just 366 days, over a million people had stopped by to check out my songs or just look around. Now it's grown exponentially and it just keeps going and going. I have to say - I know it's all God - because every song and lyric I have - was given to me by Him. It's all the creative work of God - I"m just someone who's willing to listen and then record what God has birthed in my spirit. It's really that simple. Recently I reached the milestone of over 6 million people visiting my site here on N1M. I'm not a numbers/stat person (math is one of my worst subjects), but I have noticed that more and more people are listening to the songs God has given me - and to all of you I say thank you!
Today, I'm sharing a new song - THERE IS NO ONE LIKE JESUS - it's kind of a throw back to the MOTOWN sound that came out of the Detroit area decades ago. I must confess, I have no idea where some songs are going - or where they will end up - that's the fun of writing and creating a new song. I started out with a really nice drum beat and a cool synth hook - and the song just flowed into a nice pop ballad, with a little edgy sound. I hope you like it. Please share it with others and keep it going...
Finally, today I ministered to a large group of homeless people - men/women & children here in our area; and the message was YOU DON'T NEED MONEY. My text was from Isaiah 55:1-2. I shared this song in my last newsletter.
The point of my sermon was this: You don't need money to have a relationship with God, to be blessed by God, to be
used by God. Money is not only not necessary - but can be a hindrance and an obstacle in having a close relationship with God.
Please pray for me as I work on my next collection of songs - the title is: FOOL FOR CHRIST I have most of the songs done, and hope to finish that sometime this summer - that is if all goes well. I'm planning on entering some of my songs in National and International song contests, and ask you to pray for me as I select songs that I think may be winners. My goal isn't to make money - my focus is simply to reach more people with the songs God has blessed me with.
Thanks again, for stopping by here on N1M - to hear some of my songs, and a special thanks to all of you who've sent me emails telling me how a song has connected with you. I never get tired of hearing how a song has impacted a person's life - that to me is incredible. How God can take some words - some musical notes - and have them go out to people all over the world - and speak to their hearts and minds - is mind boggling!
In Jesus Name,
