'Cry' has all the hallmarks of a modern slow groove Bieber/Swift style sound.
Will be released independently in early July 2017, 'Cry' is a strong dark pop track that
channels International Pop greats such as Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, while seamlessly
including strong pop and dance themes into the mix. Melissa co-wrote and produced the track, after committing to write music regularly with her musical partner Shane Ryall, a practise
that has produced excellent results.
Melissa draws influences from the pop and rock greats such as Pink, The Foo Fighters and
Aussie rock Queen Chrissie Amphlett and although normally shy, she becomes a strutting,
pouting entertainer when onstage. With the voice of a pop diva, Melissa has written a
joyous and radio friendly pop tune with her track 'Cry' that combines lavish
vocals with stripped back rock guitar and a deep moog vibe.
No stranger to live performances, Melissa has teamed up with an impressive lineup of reputable
Melbourne musicians to create her band.
The captivating new single 'Cry' will be available to purchase on iTunes, Google
Play, and for streaming on Spotify and other services. The single includes an instrumental and
acapella version of the track.
