Wow, you had me hooked after just the first few seconds!! You make those high notes sound so effortless!! I am impressed (by which I mean JEALOUS lol! Tell me your secrets!). Even cooler is that the song is never boring even with the minimal piano accompaniment in the beginning. You don't need it -- you could carry the piece yourself lol! On a more "critical" note...the genre is marked as "singer songwriter," but I'm not sure if that's the best choice -- maybe it's just me, but I think of singer songwriter as being closer to pop music. Maybe you would fit better under contemporary classical or something? Just a suggestion (but, on the other hand, you might not get as wide an audience under "contemporary classical," so....well...it's up to you, I guess!)

If you like Oprah theater music.then this is for you. Very nice piano playing soft and relaxing. 1920 to 1940 music with is a classic. So keep up the good work. Never stop.yours truly LS Lighter

Through the first minute or, so I wasn't sure what I was listening to... This begins like some kind of haunting, free style improv sort of randomly thrown together or, just a spur of the moment musical whim because it wandered around so much... And, maybe that's all it's supposed to be... I stuck with it and, listened to the whole thing because scattered throughout there were parts of it that were very captivating, soothing, and enticing to hear... If this is written music, I strongly suggest getting it produced with some complimentary pieces and, it would likely draw serious appreciation but, in this raw form; probably not... Overall, I enjoyed it and, believe your have a real potential in the ambience market...

Marline's song "Bee", has a very ethereal feel to it with her haunting voice trailing over the piano. It reminds me of the experimental Bjork but very striped back. The vocal recording it self could in my opinion be better, as it sounds thin and with a voice and style like this more reverb would work well.

Very interesting concept. I love the piano work. I think the vocals need more echo to the in with the beauty of the music. I think the piano should definitely be at the forefront of the song.

The least you can say is this track is peculiar, and it looks as if it is a daunting task to review it ! But let's have a go : it consists in a series of tunes (arias ?) sung by a single voice : Marline's. The piano gives a nice background and acts as a foil to the vocals -it also provides a kind of musical interlude halfway through the song, because it is a long track ! There is no recurrent melody when it starts again, it is just another set of 'operatic' vocals. It does sound like an opera at times, but the voice is not always perfect and a real tune is lacking. So the whole thing is surprising, even interesting, but doesn't sound more than a singing drill. I really thing it could be turned into a proper song, but it needs a reverb on the vocal, a real structure, and real tunes. I haven't read the other reviews, and I might be totally wrong, but once the song has an objective other than just showing off a (good) voice, it will hopefully start to be effective.

Sometimes something enters from another place and manifests itself, if allowed there is poise and grace to be received as in in this composition, although the vocal track should be trimmed back to better suit the audible balance of the the instrument accompaniment and more reverb added to give assured depth. The vocals were uneven; I don't know if this was the artist's intent but vocal technique when applied gives steady support, for ex: when reaching the highest note, strain; when it appeared the artist wanted a soaring sophisticated approach. The piano movement was searching and stirring but could have been better mic'ed. This selection is for the eclectic listener's market..

The vocalist is lovely, a bit forced a the beginning of each high note. I do enjoy the instrumental and it's composition. I am entranced to hear about the life of the bee as it is interpreted by this Composer. It is a heartfelt interpretation by someone who is akin and in tune with nature. I would recommend it with high marks for the Traditional Classic Genre. The vocalist is lovely, a bit forced a the beginning of each high note. To gain depth in your voice without effort I would suggest for the high notes taking the Distance Learning Course, Sing With Freedom Lessons on DVD by Per Bristow, International Voice Coach. He has helped me immensely, and his warm up exercises which I find for my voice do wonders for my vocal range before each recording session.

Absolutely painful to listen too. This is not contemporary music. it is performance art. An art song at best. It sounds as if it was made up on the spot in one take. There is no melody, no lyrics, and no texture to follow. This piece could have been thirty seconds long and I would be asking the same thing. What is it.

Hi, I typically review with a decided lean towards the song as a viable, commercial piece of music... Can you pitch / place your tune with an established artist?... Your song falls in the other category which is..... you as the artist. My review will be on that concept.... you as the artist. I'd like to talk about a couple of items, in the hope that it will help on some level. The first thing I might do if it were me... would be to get some help with the mix of your music. Specifically the balance between the piano and your voice. Your voice dominates the track and to my ears makes the piano feel distant. If there were a better balance, then the piano's presence would greatly improve the overall sound. Also in the same vein... getting somebody to properly help with the "sound" of your voice... specifically EQ choices.... Compression options and Reverb might go along way towards getting your voice to sit properly in the track, Having said that... it may be that this is the overall sound you prefer.... As as artist making a statement.. One can only respond on whether it's liked or not..... I would not presume to have the qualifications nor the ability to pass judgment on someone's creative work.
