You're The Disease

I absolutely love this artist. This song is recorded really well and it really rocks with a rhythm that really reflects my idea of classic rock. Hot, hot guitar. Every song from this artist is excellent leaving me wanting more. And to top it off, he offers his lyrics in print. Something that's close to my heart. I always want to know the lyrics.

You're the Disease

"You're the Disease" takes me back to the days of Uriah Heep with a touch of 90s metal mixed in. It is a very unique marriage of musical influences and the kind of song you might hear a live band perform in a bar as the smoke curls around the faces of patrons raising glasses of beer to their lips. A slow-mid-tempo shuffle beat brings a bluesy feel to the forefront with images of bump-and-grind couples on the dance floor. The deep, rich and powerful vocals are compelling as the lead guitar screams tastefully from the sides. The production quality is primo with nothing to distract or detract from the down-and-dirty "feel" invoked by the smoking instrumentation, rhythm and lyrics. Listen and let the music put you into the kind of trance that only a smoky barroom can.

I really like and enjoy your music keep on making great music and never stop creating Growing up as a little kid I use to listen to all types of music keep on going God bless you in all your endeavors.

Quality Rock Song with a Bold Message

Mark Alexander Carroll Song: You’re the Disease Very interesting theme! I think many listeners can relate to this…there are many situations out there that this song speaks to. Great vocals! Wonderful instrumentals! Your singing is excellent for this song… wonderful pitch & tonal projection and I can hear the mood/emotion in your voice. I really appreciate that you are using your voice correctly to project the rock voice (many rock singers belt or scream; very dangerous for vocal chords) Yet, I want to hear your vocals more; it’s good to keep the accompaniment “loud rock” but the listener needs to hear the lyrics clearly (your diction is fine …just more volume needed.) It is better to lower the volume of the accompaniment just a little and up your mic rather than push your voice…you don’t need to change your singing. Again, this is likely just a technical issue and easily solved through your mix and master program/recording studio. (No need to redo the recording) Note: For concerts make sure you do a thorough sound check for your vocals to blend exactly right with the accompaniment and use the mic to increase your volume. The backup vocals are a nice touch… this kind of repetition makes your chorus memorable. Absolutely breath taking electric guitar solos! Love it!

You´re the disease

Great creative, full-bodied, exciting and a richly intricate composition that inspires me to gather the guys in my own band for a rehersal evening. Volume up and just let us go free of what might emerge creatively in musical interplay between each other. What strikes me with Mr. Caroll's vocal is greatness and good control. Most likely, a lot of connection to famous vocalists, and which in my ears is strongly angled between Bruce Dickinson and David Bowie. I think it's amazing to see how we, as vocalists, are naturally drawn through the years, to those who have had a great influence on us. Again, a great arranged song with all the great accessories. Both thumbs up from me. Lars Christian Størkersen, Norway.

A simple opinion.

An interesting song. Good starting rhythm, easy groove to get into, nice easy tempo. Good arrangement of guitar parts, chord progression, and overdubbing essentials. Mix is blended well overall, but in a few tight spots, seems a bit overcrowded. Vocals are good, but a little bit indistinct; perhaps a bit more mid range hq could provide some clarity. It wouldn't hurt to place a bridge somewhere between a verse and chorus to provide some unique distinction.

really cool

really love the guitar and drums cool song and lyrics.. it rocks and it has a little old rocking feeling back in the days.. like the flow in the musiq and the melody is great. Very nice job here and it is a hit

Cool

Not bad at all and I've heard alot of music on here.. kinda sounds like a little old skool Ozzy in there... Loving it.. Keep up the good work. And we'll all keep listening thanks a bunch for doing your thing

Good musicians, good performance (maybe the regular drummer, sometimes goes into untimely), good voice, but music is very predictable, in short, very well all but very seen.

Old Skool Rock

If you are looking for new music with with a classic rock feel, you came to the right place. I was really impressed by the intense guitar work and maybe it was just me, but I heard a tinge of Deep Purple in there somewhere. Nice Job!

Nice

First of all the beat is hot and the intro is very invitational. The hook is catchy and nice, and the lyrics are pretty good. Overall I see greatness in this song. It has potential to top the charts. nice song

Hi. Nice song. Good musicians. Musically well done. Good lyrics. I like the sound of the sologuitaring. Combined with the powerful drums it sounds really cool ! And your voice, Mark Alexander, is one to fall in love with. If the composition would have been a little bit more elaborated, you would certainly have sth. with hitpotential... But it is certainly worth of being played on some radiostation. Keep on writing and playing music; I'm curious for more of your work.
