About Malo De Dentro
Malo De Dentro is a metal band from Phoenix, AZ
I started behind the kit when he was 12, after watching a local college jam band at a school assembly. Me and 3 of my best friends formed the 'Gypsy Sunrise Band', which started out covering classics from Hendrix, Cream, and more. Shortly after their beginnings, we broke into original music. In high school, the band mysteriously transformed into a jazz combo. The group excelled to new heights, taking 3rd place in the Reno International Jazz Festival. I played in the jazz combo for several years before moving to Phoenix. After working with 'The Reverend Black' of 2 In The Chest for a short stint, I later began the formation of Malo De Dentro, after finding Chuck Simoes through a cragislist ad. The rest is history...
Steve is the newest member of Malo De Dentro and has been itching for a chance to show off his abilites as a lead guitarist for a long time. He absolutely shreds on guitar, and it's no surprise considering the amount of studying he does on technique, patterns, theory, and pretty much everything else. He is also in charge of producing our newest album coming out very soon. He has become a large asset over such a short period of time and we're happy with his addition to Malo De Dentro.
New to the Phoenix scene, Stone hails from the midwest with 25 years of stage experience playing both originals and covers with various bands and has opened for such national acts as Kiss, Motley Crue, Kid Rock and Def Leppard. He boasts a strong, clean style with a wide vocal range. He cites thrash influences such as Slayer, Testament and Anthrax, grunge bands like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, as well as prog metal bands such as Dream Theater, Queensryche and Rush and is stoked to front a powerhouse like Malo de Dentro!
