About Luminis

Luminis is a dark rock band from NJ, formed by vocalist, Tara Ortiz. Tara began Luminis in 2005 as a female fronted hard rock cover band, which then led to a female fronted symphonic metal tribute act. Luminis performed music by European metal acts such as Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, and more. Soon after, originals became the focus of the band, and Luminis released a 4 song EP entitled From Within in the early part of 2011. Since the release of the EP, Tara has started working on writing and recording originals with the intentions of putting out a full-length album that will incorporate song, poetry, and artwork. Her full heart and soul will be put into this release, with hopes of appealing to an even wider audience.
