Ascension

Lives Of Angels

Song Reviews

Ascension

This is a great alternative moving song reminiscent of the 1980s music. Bands like "A flock of Seagulls" . The Song is progressive and current with the culture of today Ascension is what humanity ,if it wakes up, should be on the path for. But most of humanity is stuck in the rat maze matrix. I Praise "Lives of Angels" for devoting a song to an essential truth that humanity needs to hear!! Because our time is slipping away. Some of us are here and cleaning up our act and trying to inspire others to do so as well! The keyboards are phenomenal have the sound of an Ascension chamber. We are not walking alone these visions are not our own. The singer has a perfect melodic voice with lyrics that are quite profound! The band flows together and is on time tight! The Drums are tight hold the song together and I love the guitar and the special effect setting its in. This Song is so awesome and would be awesome to experience live with a laser light show!! I look forward to hearing more gold in the sky songs like Ascension. Bring the New wave on! Live of Angels!!

Masterpiece, one of my favorite post-punk bands.

I know that the album itself was released in 1983, many years later, all the songs were remastered and the new wave post-punk standard was re-released, which no one has noticed so far, despite the solid age of the record. I'm in total agreement, this album is outrageously good and those songs in particular are such a discovery. The irony of doing a song like this is that all the potential fans have probably already ascended.

Great Song!

Hey there, I am really digging on your song Ascension. I'm not sure what the sound is from but I really like the sort of loose string sound that starts about 20 seconds in and is used sparingly throughout the song. Both of your voices are great and really suit your music. Best wishes going forward, Peter.

okay..

I didn't really understand what was going on. Felt like the vocals were way too much of a background voice. Although it was a bit groovy, I was just very lost on what to listen to. The keyboard really doesn't need to be there. Keep at it, friends!

yes

the piece in a very unusual but very nice way, I would dare to say impact. the bass and the guitar are simply perfect and even the voice completes a picture that is already very beautiful in itself. I think the piece is practically finished and I advise you to make it run as much as possible because I think it can become a piece of success indeed I'm sure so I can only wish you good luck.

Solid and Surprising

I can hear the roots of this tune - in punk and electronica - and I like the take you've done on it. I think something I would maybe look at is the mix - it a little bit feels like not all the elements gel together, like they're not all in the same acoustic space entirely. They all work together, but maybe something ambient could help it cohere a bit more. I think with a little bit more love this could definitely be a hit! Thanks for sharing :)

Unique electro-pop song

This release from Lives Of Angels grabbed me right from the start! The beat from the drum-machine remembers me on the electro-pop band "Kraftwerk". But the analogue-effects from the synthyziser in this recording are more various, which creating a dusty space in the backround. Also the guitars and bass-lines are very special in this arrangement. The singer has a extraordinary vocal projection and sounds addionally like the 80´s. The lyrics implementing an important question of life unleashing the soul and touching the soul. This ambitious arrangement is full of unconventional sounds what brings a hypnotically feel into the music. Mixing and mastering could be better, but overall a creative and impressive song. It´s a unique quintessence of electro pop and indie rock music. These recording unleashes the imagination and emotions also with a special distortioned guitar sound. This song by using electronical instrumentation and effects is one of my favorites. I´m sure, you will like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.

ASENTION AND SONS

THESE GUYS ARE PURE BRITISH POP 2018 style ,the lyrics are cool and though i am not a fan of drum machines per say, i think they used it well.I noticed the girl was not on this ,which is cool too because it showcases individual talents as well inside the same band. I also heard a little JOY DIVISION in there. And after hearing the other song, these guys have their own approach. I have an album out of my own and the name of the record is similar to yours it's called NO SIGN of ANGLES so maybe i am a little bias. Even so , i'll give them four stars.

Run into a Forest

I loved the original and this shows some great potential. Plagiarism is the greatest form of flattery and I think it's been long enough for the next generation to experience The Cure in a new light. Master the delivery and creativity in 3 minutes. I like what you are doing, a little more space for the song to rise up!

Good beat

Sounds cool reminds me of the sounds of the flock of seagulls. Good tempo early 80's music. Also has the rythum of late60's pink floyd. Keep up the good work and turn out them tunes. Hope to hear more

Classic Indie Sound

As Indie as it gets! Indie tone as well as euro morbid vocal tone. electric synth drums with the synth type guitar tones mirror the vintage underground added the wha pedal antics makes for something right of the early eighties

lets do the time warp

Hmmm, this track is reminding me of music I haven't listened to in a long time. One of the things that stands out quickly is an almost early cure vibe in the music mixed with something I can't really place at the moment. The vocals definitely are not cure-ish, but trying to place the influence is failing me at the moment. Either way, a mellow cool track. Not terribly complex, but hearkening back to a particular place and time that might being happiness...

Ascending along with 'em

This tune has an interesting Berlin meets Martha and the Muffins vibe. In some ways, it falls into the Darkwave category and is in someways more forward looking. The production is interesting and dynamic even though the overall the song is in constant motion. A few things I'd like to hear is the vox coming in sooner and possibly the addition of some vocals by the female member who I see is involved judging by the album cover. The melody is more for feeling than for memorability, but the words seem to take me somewhere. 'd need to listen again to catch the 50% I couldn't make out. Overall, worth a listen or more.
