Exciting things are happening right now, and you can be a part of it! There are many pages out there on the internet dedicated to ‘Laura-Lee Blake and the Boys of Double R Barr’ with opportunities to play and share my music, download original songs, read the bios and see the pictures, join my mailing lists, write your comments in the guest books or book us to play for you! Currently, we are celebrating the fact that my original music is getting air time on Radio in Nashville, TN. (NBRN.FM) and I am hoping that your responses will prompt Canadian radio to do the same!
As an Independent Canadian Artist, I rely on You, the fan, to share my music, to request it on local radio and to come out and see us play when we are performing at a venue near you! You, the Fan, are my most important audience. You are why I do what I do!
Although summer is a very busy time for us as a group, we have made the effort to be in the studio as much as we can, writing and building new songs for my upcoming album. I have had the opportunity to write and create with some of the best in the business! On the various sites, you will be able to hear snippits of these songs, and have the opportunity to review and comment on them. The first official released song, ‘Beauty’s in the Eye’ is available to download on iTunes now!
Recently, we hosted our annual ‘FamJam 2010’ event to raise money and awareness of B.C. Children’s Hospital. The event was a complete success, and plans are already underway for next year! A big thank you to everyone that came out, that participated, that sponsored and partied with us! Laura-Lee Blake and Double R Barr had a heck of a time! I am proud to announce the upcoming show at the Canadian Naval Fleet Base in Esquimalt, Vancouver Island on October 16th, 2010. The Pacific Fleet Club is celebrating Octoberfest in style with Laura-Lee Blake and the Boys of Double R Barr. Be sure to grab your tickets early, as limited tickets are on sale.
