Larry Zarella, originally from Sagamore Beach, Ma, attended Boston's Berklee College of Music, majoring in vocal performance and music theory. He then headed west and on to Alaska. In 1990, after a summer of hiking, fishing and camping in and around Denali National Park, Larry decided to make Talkeetna, Alaska his home. He has lived there ever since, making a name for himself and his band the Denali Cooks as Alaska's quintessential good time party band.
