Kris Gilmore / About
The first time I realized what music could do for people was at my home in Louisiana. My sister would go in her room when she wanted to get away from everything, and throw on Led Zeppelin, Kiss, or Neil Young loud enough for me to hear down the hall. Then awhile later exit the room with a different attitude. I started playing guitar when I was about 13. My cousin handed me a Gibson 1973 flying V remake and taught me Down by the river by Neal Young. I was Hooked. I learned any song anyone would teach me. It helped having a blues guitar brother in law and one of my best friend’s dads for a helping hand on what was good music.
People and bands like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, all inspired me to play.
