Help Me cover / redo

At the beginning i really didn't think I would like the cover . After a few bars it caught my attention . I love the unusual delivery and the vocals . Bravo , I loved it and I sincerely everybody else does too . I particularly liked the pathos that was never present in the original . Good luck with it , Cliff

Keith and Nola duet Help me

Simple and straight forward is often what works best in my ears. To me, the purity is much more significant and the message reaches the listener better. Clearly emotional and rich in the experience of a good vocalist. Could this be a live recording? If not, you could spend more time balancing audio from the different instruments, so someone does not surpass others. Well done. Regards Lars Christian Størkersen, Norway. (Fresh Percussion Studio)

Firstly, thank you for the opportunity to listen to a fellow Artist's talented rendering! With regard to Keith and Nola's duet entitled "Help Me", I listened very intently; focused on the vocal delivery, cadence, emotion behind in the voice and how well you played to each other, within the body of the song! In short, I was able to feel your pain which made this pairing/duet, believable! Very nicely done; both singers have strong vocal ability in their own right. I enjoyed "Help Me". DeLise

No help needed

There is a bit of choppyness due to the drums in the beginning. The song is also called help not help me. Not sure if I like the tempo slowdown and playing the song in the style of imagine, but it does work 90 percent of the time. The singing is soulful and well done even when the voice cracks and goes in and out of key it works and adds character. The original is a cry for help and I think the soulfulness captures that sentiment. Fixing the drums would take this song a lot further.

Nice concept for a fresh take on the Beatles classic

I always like male and female duets. The blending of the contrasting vocals is always interesting. These two voices are similar in timbre but the differences in phrasing keeps it interesting. I would suggest loosing the drum part it is out of time and adds nothing to the track

Another boozed up Aussie

The idea is quite good and it was definitely worthwhile having a go but it does not quite work. Maybe it is just too slow and relentless. Still, fair goes. You can't win them all, as the saying goes. Apart from that, the actual recording is abysmal. There are microphone problems including popping, which do not help and issues with Nola, whose voice is too similar to Keith's. At the end of the day, he definitely comes across as likeable.

An Interesting Take on Help

Helpful

I didn't "click" until about the third line for the song what it was you were attempting to do. I had the "Oh - That sounds familiar" take when I heard the lyrics. There is no doubt the song is sung with feeling and gusto. However, I was a little put off by the fact your song titles says "Keith and Nola duet Help me" - I heard no duet. I heard no harmony - just a solo voice. I love my harmonies, so I was disappointed when I was not greeted by any at all! Change your title, as it is incredibly misleading. I note your chosen genre for the song is "Blues". Perhaps you could consider some raw lead guitar to add to the melancholy tones of the song. Because the song is SO familiar, I was expecting something super-exceptional! I never really got it, but there is scope for more. A very interesting take on a familiar song.

A Very Nice Tune

Helpful

This is a very nice tune! They lyrics and melody are attention grabbing. While I'm hard-pressed to see this as blues, it's a great ballad. I would get rid of the drum riffs at the top because they serve no purpose other than distraction, just the vocal and piano would make it a great tune. The synth violins are a bit cheesy; I'd pull them down in the mix, use a better string patch, or ditch them all together. Excellent songwriting in need of better production.
