Happy Fall!

I know I’m not alone in being relieved that 2020 is finally over. However, this year has already started with a bang, but I hope that we are headed towards a period of healing, mentally, emotionally and physically and that by the end of the year, we are able to hug our loved ones and friends again. I look forward to performing live by the end of this year too and continuing to record my new album of originals.

I want to thank you so much for staying with me during this year, for listening and for your feedback. I enjoy connecting with my audience. As a musician, I use my voice to connect, heal and educate. It’s so touching to hear when my music has done so!

I wish you all a productive, safe and positive year. I look forward to solving the challenges this year brings on all levels.

Dear Music Lovers,

I hope that you are all staying positive and productive during these trying times. I am thinking about all of you and wishing you peace, patience and perseverance. I hope that we come out a better community on the other side of this and continue to treat each other with love, consideration. This too shall pass. I am very thankful for all of you who may be working to make our lives easier in any way possible, whether you are a clerk in a grocery store or a doctor saving lives.

I am very grateful for your support. After all, without your support, music would eventually die out. February is usually the toughest month in winter, especially in places where winter is harsh. We are usually ready for spring and rebirth, and though it's the shortest month of the year, sometimes it feels like it's the longest. I hope that music has made it easier to bear.

Keep on smiling and let music be a cathartic and healing experience in your life.

Thank you so much for following me and supporting my music! I am currently working on recording a new album of originals with my amazing band, and we are very excited about it.
Here is one of the songs that will be featured on this album, this one co-written with Hugo King. Hugo is an Austin composer who came to my shows and enjoyed them. A year later, he came to me with a proposal to record a song that he had written for me. He was very generous, accepting my feedback on it and allowing me to tweak the lyrics and melody to make it my own. It is called N'essaye Pas (Don't You Dare) and is the story of a woman in an unhealthy relationship, who finally stands up for herself and tells her lying partner that she can no longer accept his lies. Hi all,

I took some time off for a couple of months from social media. I hope you are all enjoying the first signs of spring. Thank you for being such great supporters! I hope to see some of you this coming Wednesday, at The Skylark Lounge, for a Mediterranean Jazz Happy Hour. My friend, and amazing vocalist, Ali Pervez, will be sitting with us on a couple of songs. We also have a new member in our band, conga player Tony Marino.
Spring is a time for change, renewal and rebirth. Let's shed that winter cloak that protected us from the cold, and let us bloom again! Time flies, so enjoy the moment!
