Good song to drive home the Jesus only message of the gospels. A little long, but would work well in a worship setting. Your voice is quite listenable. Stay away from the vocal gymnastics and go with full voice while holding the longer tones to show off your tone. Let the worship begin. Using your gifts for Him is the highest calling.

Songs that turn our relationship with God into a slushy romance can be problematic for men and women alike. This is actually a beautiful song, but how many of us are really comfortable with the idea of being ‘so in love’ with Jesus? Dubbed ‘Jesus is the one’ let me tell you, lyrics such as these can create anything from discomfort to a complete sense of detachment for some people. But is glorious. I like the rhythm and beat, very creative. Keep pressing on sister Joyce Sirois because Jesus is the one, don't you ever forget that. Jesus Is The One (RE-MIX)
I like the RE-mix better than the first version so great job with that....I don't like some of the guitar work as it doesn't seem to resolve correctly at certain times but that could just be me and my musical preferences. The most important thing about your work is that it speaks the truth that JESUS IS THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE ALWAYS WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE. THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA! Jesus Is The One
The slow percussion introduction does not really gel to my liking. I think it would be better if you started with "I went to the church..." and then later on the refrain "He is the One." It sounds more like a classic melody that way to my mind. I like the synthesizer or is it a mix on a sound effect on the organ/piano keyboard? I like this re-mix. Joyce your voice has a similar sound like a Patsy Cline vocal talent at least to me. I hope you will keep making music and lots of musicians join to sing with you. You have a great Vocal/Lyricist Talent. Keep writing and singing and composing to bless us all.

Almost there....
I would really love to hear this song done without so many background effects. I think the tempo is perfect but it sounds like the vocals are behind, so it gives the illusion that the song is dragging. You have a great voice, I would make a few adjustments and you would have a beautiful piece of music. Of course this is just my opinion, but if you do make any changes I would like to hear them.

The title was "Jesus Is the One" but it wasn't until near the end of the song that you hear anything about him. Vocally, Joyce was pitchy, was not syncopated with the rhythm of the song, and over sang it in parts, Too many things were tried that did not stick or make sense. The song just needs more time and thought to become a true song.

Improved over original version.
This is an improvement over the first version of this song. The old version had the lead vocal doubled, leading to some problems in spots where the pitch in the two takes was slightly different. In this re-mix, the lead vocal is no longer doubled, so this is no longer an issue. The production values on this track are very interesting and well done. Although this song does not really reach my heart, the sound is different, unique, and inventive. Keep singing and making music to praise the One who gives life eternal! Keep on being uniquely you!
