It was so awesome to see so many of you at Walt's back in August at the CD Release Party for Ordinary Joe by the joedai warriors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart; it is so gratifying to write, record and perform music that connects with you, the listener. I am grateful beyond words. Now, I am happy to announce I will be back in the Midwest this weekend and next, making music at the Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) annual conference in Grand Rapids. On the heels of the FARM conference, I will return to Lamb's Retreat for Songwriters in Harbor Springs for the fifth year in a row. At the retreat we receive a song assignment on the Friday, and have to perform our new song on the Sunday. High pressure stakes, but great fun. Past assignments have yielded songs that have ended up on each of my last four albums. Here's a fun example of the fun things that happen there (John D.
