| Bio of the Artist |
Jessica Paige is a 22 year old multi-award winning singer/songwriter from Melbourne. She plays solo and with her band of Paige Boys. Her style is alt-pop with a pinch of jazz.
Jessica has recently been profiled in Rolling Stone Magazine and her track "Under My Skin" added to the accompanying CD on the cover. So she can claim every musician's dream of being on "the cover of the Rolling Stone"! The Australian Musician Magazine, Autumn issue, carries an interview with Jessica and John Butler.
Jessica is currently starting to record her first album. Put your name on her email list to keep abreast of release news.
Jessica started busking in Melbourne when she was 14 which accounts for her ease in front of an audience. She has now released two EP's, both have won many awards for the songs. The first EP, "Back of Our Minds", 2004, gained her the prestigious APRA Songwriter Award in the national Musicoz competition.
Jessica's second EP, "Under My Skin", was released in 2006 with the help of a grant from well-known Australian Independent musician, John Butler. A band tour followed which gathered national exposure and airplay on Australian radio and TV.
Jessica has been influenced by artists and bands that are strongly melodic and lyric-driven like Elton John, Simon & Garfunkle, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and her own father, master singer/songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, Steve Romig (www.steveromig.com).
Jessica's songs are available from over 60 download sites (like Itunes).
