A Big Hello to all of you,
First of all, I want to thank each of you, from the very bottom of my heart, for playing and listening to my music!!! You'll never know how much I appreciate it!!
I don't have a lot going on right now, but I do want to let you know about my new EP Album. It's called, "When I Was Lost(Jesus Found Me)". I have three of the five songs here on N1M. It's being played a good bit on various music providers, but I want it to get played or listened to much more! I'm not greedy, I just need the money! This music business is very expensive! There's the big chunk of money that must be paid by the hour, when we record(I'm speaking of all us musical artists). Then, if we want to have our albums/CD's to sell to our fans, we have to find a good CD duplication company who will duplicate as many CD's as we want, with a minimum of 100. They will also put the art work or graphics or whatever we want on the front and back cover of the CD. All this really costs money. And there is always some piece of equipment that needs fixing or replaced. There's guitar strings, guitar picks, microphones, amplifiers, sound equpment, and more that has to be purchased and maintained, which can get very expensive.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get off on all that stuff.
God has really blessed me with everything I need, in order to be in and stay in this business. What I do is a ministry, which has to be run like a regular business, and I depend on donations, Love Offerings, and CD sells.
I'm not traveling as much as I used to, because I'll be 72 years old in April, and I have a severely messed up back, that limits about everything I do.
Well, that's about all I need to say this time, and that was probably too much.

Hello everybody.
I realize that it's been a long time since I sent my last message, but I've had a few health problems and some surgery that slowed me down for awhile. However, I just wanted to let you know that I'm scheduled to start doing some more recording of new material, on October 9th. I'm looking forward to getting back into it, and giving y'all some new music to listen to.
God has been very good to me, and He has given me many blessings everyday, including 4 original songs, which I'll probably record. I would really appreciate your prayers, as I rehearse and prepare the songs I want to put on NumberOneMusic!

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've sent you an update, and I thought it was time, as we enter the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
I'm sorry I haven't uploaded any new songs in a while. The reason is that since last November, I've been almost crippled with a bad back problem. I have Degenerative Disc Disease and Spinal Stenosis at three levels of my spine. The pain is terrible, and I just haven't felt like writing and recording any new music. I have been referred to a pain clinic and a Neurologist, so I pray that an answer will soon be found that will get me out of so much pain.
I hope that all of you are doing well and are getting ready for the holidays.
My songs are doing pretty good on the charts, and I thank God for that. I also want to thank each of you, because you have helped tremendously, by faithfully listening to them. I appreciate each of you so very much. Please keep playing my stuff, and I'll get some new stuff on here as soon as I can.

It's been awhile since I've sent a message, so I thought I would let y'all know what's new with me.
I've been working on a new CD. I thought I was finished, but then I decided to put a couple of songs on it, which I haven't yet recorded. The new songs will either be added onto what I've already recorded, or replace a song or two. I haven't decided yet, but as soon as I get it finished, I'll put one or two of them here on N1M.
I also have a new booking agent! Her name is Teirr Bledsoe, and she works for ITNS Radio SWC, LLC, out of Las Vegas. I hope all is well with all of you. Down here in the South we say, "I hope y'all are doin' good!" Whichever way it's said, I do sincerely hope you are all doing okay.
Well another month has almost gone, and we're coming up on July. It's already miserably hot and humid down here, but God is in control, and He knows exactly what's going on, all the time! So I guess I'll just sweat, until Summer is over and try not to complain about it.
I am sort of taking a break from doing concerts for a while. I need to concentrate on trying become a better guitar player and learn some new stuff on the guitar. I might also write a new song or two.
At the moment, I don't have any new music to put on N1M, so the ones that are on now, will have to do for a while. I'm sorry. I need to get back in the studio and record some new stuff, but to be honest with you, I simply can't afford it. If God wants me to record more, He will supply the means in which to do it!
Well, that's about all have to say this time around, but I'll try to stay in touch about what's going on with my music and me. Don't give up on me! I'm just waiting for God to tell me what to do next! So until next time, God bless each of you in ways you could never have imagined!

Hello Again,
Since the month of May is just about over, I thought I would touch base with you and give you an update on some things I've been doing and what I'm going to be doing.
First of all though, I want to welcome the new subscribers, who have recently joined up. Thank you so much for your interest in the music of Jerry T. Yates Ministries! I appreciate it more than you know.
I did a concert at Rico United Methodist Church, in Palmetto, GA on May 6th, and it went great! The Lord really poured out a blessing! The congregation really responded, as the Holy Spirit used the songs to touch their hearts! I also did a concert at Burnt Hickory United Methodist Church, in Dallas, GA on May 20th. It too, went really good, and many of the congregation came up to me after the concert and told me how much they enjoyed it and that they were blessed. The CD sales were good too!
My next concert will be on June 6th, at the Open Range Cowboy Church revival! The revival will be at the church's Bremen, GA location, at Rocky Branch Old West Ghost Town, and it will start at 7:00 pm. If you happen to live within driving distance, I would love to meet you!

I thought I would send you this update, just to let you know what's going on with me, this next month.
First of all though, I again want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for subscribing to my newsletter, or whatever you want to call it. I appreciate your interest so very much! Without you, I would just be spinning my wheels for nothing!
On May 6th, I will be playing/ministering at Rico United Methodist Church, in Palmetto, GA. I played there last year, and I had a great time, and I received a great blessing, as I hope the people did. The Church is located at 6475 Rico Rd., just off Hwy. 70, in Palmetto.
Then on May 20th, I will be at Burnt Hickory United Methodist Church, in Hiram, GA. I also played there last year, but I can't seem to find their address. I'll have to get it later, and when I do, I'll pass it on to you.
Just to let you know; I am a solo performer when I perform live. It's just me and my electric/acoustic guitar. I have found that it's much easier for me to get gigs as a solo performer, than it is to have a whole band, and so far it has gone over quite well. I've been playing solo now for 15 years.
Well that's about it this time around. I'll be back in touch with you again, next month.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for subscribing! I'm just starting out on NumberOneMusic, so I can use all the help I can get. I don't fully understand how all this works, but I'm learning as I go. I hope you like Gospel music with a different style and feeling, because that's what I do. I want people to know that they can have a good time as a Christian, and they don't have to be stiff and stuck in a religious rut. Jesus came to die for our sins, taking our punishment upon himself, so we would be set completely free! And He wants us to be joyful, as we should be, because of what He has done for us!
