|  |  |  |  |  |  | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | Born in Atlanta, Ga. 1971 Jeffrey started his musical journey when he was 7 by telling his parents he wanted a guitar for Christmas. Soon after they got him started in lessons. By age 8, he understood chord progressions and was writing songs. He spent the first 10 yrs. learning music and differents styles. Some of his instructors include Carolyn Worley, Sam McPhierson, Terry Issacs, and Roger " the Hurricane" Wilson. His first studio experience came ate age 20 and over the last 31 yrs. he has played in numerous bands around the country, has had radio airplay, and has done some session work with Onelordproductions out of OKC. Currently he writes, colaborates with other lyricist/musicians and plays drums with the Victory Life of Hugo praise/worship team.
For a long time he focused more on secular/mainstream songs, "got a girl /lost a girl" kind of stuff. After years of not getting "fulfilled" with this sort of writing and playing Jeffrey submitted to a renewing of the mind, as well as a better direction for his life.
Now, if you were to ask him what he likes to write most of all, "anything gives direct glory to God. Music without lyrics is not moral or ethical, regardless of style. Add some lyrics then it can take on different meanings and evoke a myriad of emotional responses depending on the listener."
Jeffrey adds, " I realized at a young age that music held a much deeper meaning to me, not necessarily emotional, but more of a solid, spiritual nature. I have come to know that our Father loves it when His children bring Him something out of love. I believe that God implanted this gift /ability within me to bring praise and glory to Him and His name."
Jeffrey currently lives in SE Oklahoma with his lovely wife Denise, their 2 dogs (Mason and Missy), but the cat, Roy, lets them live with him :)
