Bad attitude is Gone from here

Good intro that leads into a good sounding verse. Then the song picks up into the chorus, the intro comes back as a slight break and the song picks up more steam. Finally the intro bookends the song giving it a very rounded and complete flow. The arrangement and flow are excellent. The mix is almost great. If the song needs any work it might be there or in the mastering. The final output is a little low but i think a good master could fix everything

Laid back easy rocker

Nice groove & JJ Cale feel to this song. Great lead guitar sound & the instrumental break is very strong! Lead vocal is on key & the harmony vocal is spot on. Lyrics about having a "bad attitude" are fine in a "Born Under A Bad Sign" type of theme. I think the sudden ending does not work so well. A longer fade out with some additional guitar soloing would work better for this tune.

BAD ATTITUDE

NICE TASTY GUITAR LICKS AND SPACE IN THE SONG THE TRACK MOVES ALONG NICELY IN AN EASY LISTENING KIND OF WAY IN SOME WAYS THIS REMINDS ME OF STEELY DAN FROM THE SEVENTIES NICE GENRE CROSSO VER WITH THE BLUES AND ROCK THERE COULD BE MORE LIGHT AND SHADE IN THE PRODUCTION NOT ALWAYS GOOD TO TELEGRAPH ALL THE PUCHES IN THE FIRST 30 SECONDS OF THE SONG HOWEVER THIS IS MINOR CRITICISM FOR LOVERS OF THIS KIND OF CHILL TRACK

Dire straits feel

Nice catchy hook, very nice harmonies. The guitar week is very good song reminds me musically of a Dire Straits song, I like solo very cool the back up singing really works well on here, keep it up.

Solid and Safe

That's a nice funky intro. Classic guitar tone. Has a Dire Straits vibe to it. The vocals have a Dylan phrasing to it a bit. All that together gives it a classic rock vibe. The drums are playing it a bit too safe for me. Overall it's a nice song. Easy to listen to. Sing-along-able chorus. Cool guitar solo. Love how we get that riff again at the end. It has all the pieces. I just think maybe it plays it a bit safe overall. I think you could take a few more risks.

Blues Rock Attitude

Very clean recording. It has a Van Morrison vibe to it. Really nice vocals. Subject matter interesting. Always liked the blues/ rock sound in a band. It also has a Pop sound to it. Overall very nice.

Lacks edge

The lead guitar lines and tone remind me of the Stones around the time of "it's Only RocknRoll." But the song lacks edge and angst despite the fact that the subject matter really invites that. I simply was not convinced this guy had much attitude left at all, much less a bad attitude. The song is not terrible. I just imagine it is not this guy's best. The music was very well played and recorded all around.

The Good The Bad and the Attitude

This is a nicely presented song with good clarity of lyrics set to a nifty melody and some fine musicianship. Shame the displayed lyrics don't quite match the song - that is no criticism of the song - couldn't find anything to criticise!

the Good the Bad and the Handsome Attitude

Jesus... great song you've got there. Everything in this tune is actually perfect. All the musical parts the lyric, how it is sung the drums, bass guitar and the guitar sounds subdued, but still present. Its a complete song, which has everything what a good song needed. Well done and please go on making nice music. Cheers.

Bluesy Story Telling

In this blues rock song song storyteller Jeff Hayford brings his message explaining his reason for his edgy point of view. Jeff's strong singing performance along with his solid grooving guitar work, provide a very compelling and clean production. The message is relatable by young and baby boomers as well. His early reference to growing up in the 1960s might have startled some younger listeners initially but it continues to a place everyone with a little bit of life experience can grab ahold. The music production of the song is simple and easily recreated by his band when he performs live. Overall this is very listenable and I can see it gathering some good radio play if presented to the right venues. I can also see this filling a needed spot in a current or period movie. I look forward to hearing more for this talented artist.

smooth blues

if you like that clean blues or easy listening rock, this is the artist for you, very classic guitar riffs going on here, and the singing is nice and smooth also, that trip back to the late seventy's is what i'm hearing

Attitude

I enjoyed this one.I can definately relate. although the guitarwork is cool I was hoping the guitar would really lay on it at the end of the song and show some truely bad attitude then maybe you would loose the Bad Attitude!

Very Smooth

Wow, what a nice smooth sound. This song is really smooth and cool. I love the sound of the instruments. Very professional sounding. Easy to understand vocals, and nice harmonies. Very nice guitar sound and playing. You kind of have your own sound, with slight references to older style songs. Keep going. Sincerely Edward Westbrook

Helpful

This is a great track. The vocals are nice and clear with good tone. This song has a good story line and well constructed. The harmonies with the main vocal are sweet. I recommend a good listen not just to this track but other tracks by this guy. Great effort Jeff keep them coming. All the best, keep safe all. Den T

Best sounding rock groove since Dire Straits

Bad Attitude is one of the smoothest, most grooving rock tracks that I have heard since Dire Straits. The guitar playing is very reminiscent of Knoppfler but with a soft, more controlled edge that is as sugary as it gets. The vocal performance is superb, and done in a laid back style that is very effective in support of the overall feel of the song. The harmonies are tight and well planned and the arrangement lets you hear every nuisance in the music. Great job Jeff. My hat is off you. Noah Ohne

Congrats!

Congratulations! A very good song to listen to. The energy she spends is indescribable. All this accompanied by a Blues climate and with a vocal well arranged. The guitar is a musical based on keeping all the music expression. The song is very good, as well as a sensational harmony, it has its own identity, that is, is a song that does not look like any other. A very good battery and a sensational dynamics.

Good Attitude

I like the guitar, I like the "swing" feel to the song, and I even like the vocals. I'd like more BANG on the drums. The "easy" drums make this sound like a lounge song versus a rock-n-roll classic. Nice blues feel to it. I could hear this in a movie or television show as background music. I'd be interested to hear what else you're working on. Keep on making music like this Jeff and we'll listen!

Smart hook good lyrics. Smart

Jeff, When you go through this life with the name Jeff You never know what the hell's gonna happen. Especially if you add music to the mix. Mine turned from Jeff to Awz over the last half century! OK sorry got off track there for a minute! Great name man! Great Sound man! You have a style all your own Kind of a mellow bluesy feel Really easy to listen too. You also Have a real good front man vocal The band is smoking this tune like a smuggled Cuban Cigar. Production is as it should be flawless! Backing vocals are placed well and received well. I don't normally go check out artists while reviewing there tunes But I did in your case and I was checking out your photos to find that We both own the same exact Ibanez Acoustic Electric. Great guitar except for the tuners I swapped mine with Gold Grover's w/ Black Ebony Keys. OK sorry I got off track there for a minute!!
