6/1/18: "The Soundtracks Of Summer"

6/1/18: New Songs: "The Soundtrack Of Summer" Before today, I had 3; now, I have 4. I want to play on YouTube, and live, these songs all summer, and beyond. They have touched me in various ways, and the newest one is still making me cry when I think of it. They are: "Every Little Thing", Jackie T and the Jet Packs. This is the "Hershey's Diner" song from TV and radio. This song is the most up, happy, joyful song I have ever heard, and it sounds just like the Andrews Sisters at their best. "These Are Days", 10,000 Maniacs, 1992. I always think of this song in spring and summer, because the days are getting longer, it is getting warmer and everything is green and growing. Also, it is positive and affirming, with life and goodness growing in the person being sung to. "Beautiful", Christina Aguilera, 2002. This is just so powerful and self-affirming, saying "words can't bring you down". It shows the so-called "misfits" of society triumphing over anxieties and pain. It is just so moving, and I cry when I play it. The last song is so powerful to me right now that I cry when I think of it. It is about being free on the ocean, sailing alone and communing with God, "looking at the full moon like a lover". It is "Cool Change", Little River Band, 1979, and it is so sublime because the video shows dolphins and porpoises and whales jumping and romping in the blue sea, free without hindrance--like all sea creatures should be. It resonates with me because it ties in with animal rights, freedom and communing with God the best way possible--alone. THESE are my "soundtracks of summer".

 :scream: :smirk:  :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :rage: :disappointed: :sob: :kissing_heart:  :pensive: :confounded: :flushed: :relaxed: :mask:  :broken_heart: :expressionless:  :weary: :triumph:  :sleepy:
