About Jayne feat. DR. Z

Jayne is my name, and I'm a multi-genre musical artist. Life hasn't been the same since my musical partner-in-crime, DR. Z, passed away in July of 2011. Though I've found a way to accept his departure, I'm a stay-at-home mom, so the resources and time I have to devote to revising and professionally recording our music is limited. Nevertheless, the passion for creation will never leave me. If the opportunity arises, I plan to re-record some of my old songs, as well the new ones I'm writing all the time inside my head.

I'm a singer, songwriter, and a fledgling keyboardist. In the past 4 years, I've written two albums' worth of original songs. Influenced by countless musicians, I strive to imbue my vocals with a mixture of classic Broadway style, fused with contemporary pop. In 2014, my song "Geisha Undercover" was nominated for Global Rockstar. While I didn't win, I'm honored to have even been chosen, as there were many professional bands worldwide in the competition.

In addition to my musical endeavors, I also write poetry, LGBTQ erotic speculative fiction, and fanfiction. CRIMSON, the first book in my queer vampire series MASTER, won Best Ebook in the Hollywood Book Festival Awards 2009.
