Irene Leland is a songwriter/singer who composes and performs folk/pop/soft rock music. She writes both lyrics and music and accompanies herself on the guitar. She also composes promotional jingles and theme/specialty songs. She performs cover songs as well. A talented songstress, she is splashing huge waves and carving big marks in the sand with her songwriting and singing!

Irene Leland, whose first compositions came to life at age nine while playing the piano and then blossomed with her guitar throughout her life, has always been thankful for her gift of music and how it has provided her a creative channel of expression during happy and hard times.

Leland’s continual explosion of massive Best Song awards with The Akademia international music/songwriting competition is quite impressive. She was named one of “Musicians Who Are Hot in 2014” by the Marquix Global Network and “New Music Artists Making Moves” by the Svelte Media Company in April 2015. In 2017, Irene was presented with the "Master Folk Singer-Songwriter Artist Award", the highest recognition of musical prowess at the Akademia Gala Award ceremony in LA. In 2019, she earned the "Akademia Executive Award" for outstanding creativity, artistry and professional achievement in the field of music.

Leland has also won top awards for "Folk" and "Singer-Songwriter" with other international music organizations, including Clouzine, Poze and Song of the Year.,

Irene's songwriter's dream came true in 2018 when her song, "As You Dream Tonight" was signed by producer, Clarence Collins (Founder of Little Anthony and the Imperials and Member of the Hall of Fame), She was thrilled to record the song at the famous Studio at the Palm in Las (expired link), in 2019, Leland signed her song, :Cracks in the Sidewalk" with infamous music producer and former Grammy Board Member, Doc (expired link) recorded the song at Sony Studio in Nashville, and it is currently being aired on over 300 radio stations worldwide, as well as streaming on all of the internet sites, including itunes, spotify, amazon, etc.
